Once, there was a fallen angel who had been banished from the heavenly realms for his insatiable thirst for power and rebellion against the divine order. This angel had once been a powerful force of good, a being of pure light. But now, he walked the earth, his wings crimson and corrupted and his halo made of chains.
Despite his fall from grace, this fallen angel still retained the knowledge and wisdom of the heavens. He understood the intricate workings of life, of creation and destruction, of love and pain. He could see the threads that connected all living beings and the delicate balance of the universe.
As he walked the earth, the very air seemed to ignite around him, flames trailing in his wake as a harbinger of destruction. Those who crossed his path trembled in fear, sensing the sheer force of chaos that emanated from his being. Consumed by hatred and fueled by his desire for revenge, the angel unleashed hellfire upon the world, scorching everything in its path with an infernal fury that left only ash in its wake.
The world lay in ruin around him, a desolate wasteland devoid of life. And in that dark and lingering moment, as the last embers of his hellfire flickered out, he realized the true cost of his vengeance. He knew he was lost.

One of the pioneering icons within neurofunk, BTK has remained a pinnacle part of the drum & bass scene. And his imprint Dutty Audio has also helped pave the way for similar artists, bringing newcomers into fray with every slicing, hard-driving release. For their next output, they've brought on board Mizo for a ferocious rework of collaborative track 'Mind Control', a monster delivered first by Optiv & BTK.

Mizo has already made himself known within the 174bpm world as part of Gydra, a production outfit who need little introduction. Born out of Russia, his music was nurtured within its dance music culture and his remix of 'Mind Control' is a testament to this. Whilst channelling the same furious vibe as its predecessor, his take on 'Mind Control' is violently built, with every layer adding to its last alongside crashing drums peddles and an unforgiving bassline. The track comes thick and fast before it rolls you through all-out anarchy, demonstrating Mizo's undeniable skill as a solo act and as part of a team. Dutty Audio brings the fire once again.

SINISTER SOULS return to OTHERCIDE RECORDINGS alongside MATHIZM for their latest single SPIDER//HATRED. With a history of collaboration in the form of “Reign in Hell” on PRSPCT recordings, as well as solo releases across labels such as Algorythm Recordings & Yellow Stripe Recordings, the 2 part team created by this pairing now bring their hardcore influenced drum & bass sounds to OTHERCIDE for a devastating single release. Sealed within its bounds are a pair of powerful sonics designed for maximum potential impact.


SPIDER’s initial creeping rhythm grows in stature over its introduction, quickly becoming a brash arpeggiated lead that provides the springboard for the track’s primary aspect, a sharply edged bassline that moves to a funk fueled rhythm atop a torrent of percussion. The menacing atmosphere of HATRED finds quarter with its predecessor, driven by similar tonality as its vocal sample calls forth a destructive assault of straight beat drums & a gnashing bassline, before reaching its peak in a furious flurry of its many elements combined.

Broken Mirror

Climbing slowly and gently out of the capsule, stepping out into a strange and unknown world. Carefully leading the foot to the bottom. A short twitch went through the body as it stepped on the unexpectedly cool steel plates. The weakened body slid limply and powerless out of the capsule.
Searching in an eternal darkness. Only interrupted by the red light cone of a warning light, which wandered evenly and in a perpetual correlation to the crying out of the alarm through the room.
The cone of fire of the warning light showed a picture of destruction. It felt as if the heartbeat would stop for a second. The soot colored the room black, shadowy outlines and deformed shapes, which were also covered with the pitch-black soot, created a frightening scenery. Pictures of memory flared up as they crossed the scene and lay like a veil on the soot-blackened backdrop. The contrast between these two realities could not be more frightening. As if you were looking at the world through a broken mirror.

Jade, one of the primary architects of the neurofunk sound, presents the latest release on his distinguished imprint Eatbrain;
Telekinesis – The Nightwalkers EP. Telekinesis - the highly praised Slovenian duo consisting of Smooth and Markoman - joins an already drool-worthy roster of neurofunk talent on Eatbrain, further solidifying the label’s reputation as a stalwart of quality drum and bass. And with names like Concord Dawn and MC Coppa in the equation, the 6th release on Eatbrain stands out as a must-own for any neurofunk head.

Nightwalkers EP kicks off with an dynamic collaboration between Telekinesis and Coppa, the Berlin-based MC who's collaborations with Prolix and Mindscape made enormous waves within the drum and bass scene in 2012. Telekinesis’s knack for atmosphere comes into full effect at the outset before Coppa's infectious rhymes take hold, winding things up into an irresistible drop. Still possessing the same raw ferocity that Telekinesis has become known for, 'Pocket Full Of Drops' takes their sound into playful territory. Combining their dirty signature bass, cleanly constructed drums, and Coppa's clever lyricism, 'Pocket Full of Drops' a true mood-lifter bound to crush any dancefloor it touches. Good vibes, plain and simple. 

Next up, New Zealand badboy Concord Dawn features on the EP's eponymous track, 'Nightwalkers.' Opening with an optimistic-sounding concoction of warm pads, a light drum break, and shimmering synth arpeggios, the melody soon takes a darker turn as the full-moon comes out and the dead begin to rise. By the time the tune drops, it's too late - you've already been bitten by Telekinesis and Concord Dawn's monstrous musical creation, and there is no hope for you. One thing is certain; 'Nightwalkers' is a hauntingly contagious track capable of turning an otherwise normal human into a mindless dancing abomination. Beware.

The EP's third track, 'Lich,' promises to slay crowds with its upbeat neurofunk vibes. Clean drums, spirited keys, and a dirty yet carefully polished bassline make this energetic roller a dangerous piece of ammunition. Nightwalkers EP wraps up with a truly fun yet complex exercise in future funk, 'She Wants To Skate'. A tune made purely for the dancefloor, 'She Wants To Skate' jumps right into things with tight, lively drums and an uplifting synth riff. Telekinesis's trademark bass warms itself up, before ripping into full swing at the drop, twisting and turning throughout the track amidst a catchy chopped up vocal. 'She Wants To Skate' is a particularly infectious joint, bound to get bodies moving and put smiles on faces.

The crumbling city stood like the bones of a decaying animal, falling to ruin in a silence amplified by the lack of ears nearby that might hear it. It was an oppressive quiet, broken only rarely by the falling of concrete or steel to the cracked asphalt below. Yet one day, a new cry uttered forth within that sonic emptiness. It was shrill yet powerful, and it rang out slowly as though painstakingly expunged from the throat of the beast that had emitted it. Its source, however, came only indirectly from the biology of those who caused it. For this was the cry of feet of steel, forced open and ground against its frame by the two lonesome souls who had lain within.

That first moment of sunlight was blinding to their eyes, even when filtered through the roiling green clouds that blanketed the sky and rained down debris onto the landscape. Day and night had ceased to mean anything within the pair’s holdout, and their emergence into the gloom of midday stood in stark opposition to the biological clocks that had regulated their bodies for so long. Even for all these banalities with which they were met, the pair knew that they could no longer find shelter in their subterranean home, their supplies exhausted by the indeterminate passage of time that had marched over them therein. No, now the pair knew that they must go forth, back into the world that had once been their own. For them, the only hope at life lay underneath that green glowing sky, somewhere in the vast unknown that lay beyond the BUNKER.

AGRESSOR BUNX emerge from their studio to deliver BUNKER, the first step in their journey into the lands of the ENSUING CATACLYSM that will imbue their sonic works in the months to come. Their first release on EATBRAIN since 2019’s Power Glow EP, AGRESSOR BUNX return to lead the label’s ravenous horde through the tumultuous landscape of the cataclysm to come, debuting BUNKER as the first step amidst its apocalyptic advance.
