Opening track “Faithless” sets the scene with elegant and epic string sections jumping into a playful arrangement. With serious drum-work in place vocal talents Oscar Corney, MC Fava and Alice Gasson bring tracks “Lifeline”, “Perspective” and “A Breath” to life with tight harmonies and rich, velvet tones. Keeno hasn’t held back in “Dream Sequence”, “At Twilight” and “Futurism” with majestic grandeur travelling seamlessly through star-lit journeys of sound and space.

The growth and musical virtuosity of this young talent has flourished since signing to Med School back in 2013. By uniting his high-end production skills and classical training in a multitude of instruments Keeno has quenched the thirst of drum & bass lovers across the globe.

Last year Keeno took a leap of faith, deciding to leave his full time education behind to set his sights on what is sure to be a long career ahead in music. It’s abundantly clear this was the right choice - “Futurist” embodies everything we’ve come to expect from this exceptionally talented young producer.

We’re pleased to announce SV022, ‘Open My Eyes ft. MVE’ – the first single from Pola & Bryson’s long-awaited debut album entitled ‘This Time Last Year’. Having dropped their stellar ‘The Music EP’ on Soulvent back in April 2015, the boys have rapidly received a tonne of support from some of the big players in the Drum & Bass scene. With releases forthcoming on Liquicity Records and Spearhead to name but a few, and ‘Bad Habit’ becoming a staple in many a DJs set over the year, it was clear that an album was the next logical step.

A true taste of the forthcoming album, Pola & Bryson showcase their ever-emerging production style in this first album cut. The track opens with airy, shimmering pads, backed by a smooth rimshot break, hinting at breathy vocals. Smooth chords lead us into a gorgeous summer roller, with Dutch talent, MVE’s soft vocal tones floating nicely above the composition.

The single features remixes from The Vanguard Project – the new alias and brain child of Spearhead’s BCee, and Villem, as well as MTA regular and London-based producer, Mitekiss.

Pulling no punches, The Vanguard Projects remix comes almost straight out of the gate into a fat drum lick driving you forwards into a surprisingly switch up and a ’gully’ bassline, expertly injecting the original with a heavy dose of old school style. Mitekiss takes the original on an even more chilled out journey. Stripping the original back to its simplest form with a sprinkling of light liquid style drums and warming sub bass.

Overall, this single sets the bar high for Pola & Brysons forthcoming album material and you can expect to hear more from them very soon. Open My Eyes should whet the whistle of any forward-thinking drum and bass fan, ensuring that ‘This Time Last Year’ will be one of the most memorable albums of 2016, as well as a huge milestone for Soulvent as an imprint.

LA-based Des McMahon has long been a friend of the mighty Viper on the other side of the pond. With a strong history of releases on the label, including the recent hit ‘Pixelated’ on Bassrush 3.0 and his collaboration with Aktive on The Sound of Drum & Bass 2018, ‘Particle’, Des McMahon has been a continuous testament to the rising talent fostered in North America for several years. 

Now, scoring his first single release on the label, Des McMahon is once again turning heads with ‘Space Candy’ and ‘Cold’ feat. 'not sorry'. ‘Space Candy’ delivers glimmering, multifaceted melodies from the beginning, creating a unique, immersive atmosphere that is constantly changing. The drop simultaneously delivers soothing liquid vibes with a dancefloor punch, giving the track feel-good vibes with a punch. 

The flip side of the single is a collaboration with 'not sorry', the ice-cold killer ‘Cold’. Delivering spine-tingling, hair-raising, supernatural vibes, the track builds a truly ominous atmosphere from start to finish. Best described as cinematic neurofunk, the collaboration is a strong reminder of Des McMahon’s versatility as a producer and a reflection of the growing scene in North America as a whole. 

With such a diverse and masterful release, Des McMahon highlights not only his impeccable skills as a producer, but provides strong evidence as to the quality drum & bass coming out of North America as well. A fierce addition worthy of no less than the Viper VIP title, ‘Space Candy/Cold’ has certainly left it’s mark on the label’s global catalogue.
