each piece of music I record has a purpose, a reason for existing. When I try to record a new piece and there is no story behind it, it comes out flat. When there is a reason behind it the emotion is released. One area of my life is painful and hard to overcome is caused by my family. Family is supposed to love you and care if you are dead or alive. I don't thInk mine does. But whatever their reason is, that reason is based on a period of time we can't undo - and it is just a shot of time. Each of us goes through many phases and we change with every one. who we were as children - our education and relationships _ and our roles as parent, grandparents, and much more. we change constantly. If you don't try to know and understand the people you are connected to, you miss a lot. 

I am making a video to go with this. The title - Lest we Forget - will be filled with photographs of the childhood I shared with my sisters. I think it is important that we don't throw away parts of our lives because of whatever grudge they hold against me. That I do not understand. I have to learn to let this go, so this is my last attempt to communicate with them using part me that matters. It has taken my entire life too become who I am now. Who are they? They can throw this in the trash if they want, but at least I tried.

It was a real joy to be back in Manchester and make my debut at the biggest and most successful RONG to date!!! To salute the start of a weekend, the fantastic crowd joined me for 3 hours of Trancetastic exuberance.

I was really impressed with the atmosphere at RONG combining an intimate, underground clubbing experience and a unique following of RONG'uns. The brand's reputation certainly precedes itself. From the very beginning of my set, the room was absolutely packed with clubbers, all listening intentively and wanting to take that trip down memory lane. It was such a magical night, full of emotion and joy as each track played evoked so many feelings. You'd be hard pushed not to get incredibly nostalgic along the way from the likes of "Lost Witness - Happiness Happening" to "Rank 1 - Airwave". Pleased to say that a good selection of some of those remarkable tunes which significantly contributed to the Trance scene were showcased. Even the promoters had a little dance! :)

What you will hear next is not just a 3 hour Trance mix, but one that captured the attention of a full house and it's nights like these which make me proud to be still be doing what I love!!!

A grand celebration of 21 momentous years of PaSSion is such a significant accomplishment in this ever challenging climate that we call clubland. I've always seen PaSSion as JFK's own. He has built the brand from the ground up and was one of the main proponents for bringing Trance to the Midlands. It was an honour to have been asked to play at this sensational birthday party and make my return to PaSSion. 

Well, PaSSion 2.1 was absolutely sensational! Superb production, a good venue, quality lineups and great promotion. The loyal DFOPs (Dedicated Followers of Passion) were out in full force, hypnotized by some of the amazing Trance being channelled throughout the main room. I was initially scheduled to play for an hour but due to unforeseen circumstances, Manuel Le Saux was unable to attend due to illness and my set was extended by an additional 30 minutes. I enjoyed every minute of it from the beginning until the very end, and the atmosphere was electric.The familiar slogan of "do it with PaSSion or not at all" was evident as the crowd took every opportunity to raise their hands in the air and positively cheer as soon as each track hit the break :). 

For the next 90 minutes, relive and appreciate 21 years of wonderful memories which also includes the ultimate PaSSion anthem...Come on PaSSion!!! :)

Sheffield based trance night that has caused a stir through club land ever since its inception in February 2007.

After quickly becoming known for a truly world class DJ bill, first rate productions and a unique atmosphere, OTR has given the local club scene a much needed beat injection.

OTR’s new home is FEZ Club in Sheffield. Here you can expect to be kept dancing until the early hours with a signature laser cut dancefloor bathed in FEZ's ultra-crisp Martin Audio sound system and a raised intimate DJ booth that keeps you truly involved in the action, not to mention state of the art visuals, lighting and productions; OTR has well and truly become a staple to any clubbing schedule.

OTR has always prided itself on providing you with one of the most upfront music policies and DJ line-ups you could expect to hear. Having taken a short break in 2009, OTR returned in an emphatic fashion and have continued to welcome a host of the world’s most prolific artists to its decks including Aly & Fila, Menno De Jong, John O’Callaghan, Matt Hardwick, Orjan Nilsen, Rank1, Simon Patterson and Sean Tyas to name but a few.

Always thinking outside the box, OTR have brought some of the most unique trance and progressive events to have braced the country to Sheffield over the years. With exclusive live performances coming from Solarstone, Roger Shah via a 3 hour extended set and The Thrillseekers showcasing his musical genius through his Live XTreme production, OTR pride themselves on bringing the freshest nights to the scene. Off the Rails were also the brand which proudly brought you local trance legend, Matt Hardwick’s final farewell event upon him announcing his retirement from DJing in 2011. For all those who attended the event, it’s safe to say it was a night to remember and certainly a fitting end for the man who has done so much for trance in the steel city.

The annual Journey Through Trance event is yet another shining example of OTR reaching out to its wanting ravers, providing a classics event with a twist through the talents of the country’s finest up and coming DJs. This sell-out crowd year upon year provide the perfect atmosphere to the soundtrack that has shaped so many people’s lives, making it a definite date in any clubbers diary.

Such is the reputation that OTR has now enveloped throughout club land over the last few years, the Sheffield based brand have been invited to collaborate with a host of the most renowned names around. From Insomniacz at the mighty Magna to Digital Society at the O2 in Leeds, as well as hosting the main room at what is one of the country’s premier venues, Air in Birmingham, for the sell-out Godskitchen event, SixFiveTwelve which saw trance megastars Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk take to the main stage.

OTR’s vision has always been clear; to be at the forefront of any clubbing experience. Rest assured, this is something we aim to continue and with a wealth of projects on the horizon, be sure to embrace that signature OTR experience.
