The smell of the forest in springtime, coming back home with soaking wet feet after a heavy autumn rain, all of the small things that slowly disappear from your life as you get older. 

Otto Taimela announces his new album "Inner Beauty" on London imprint SWIMS, telling us that “the music was born and recorded in the house of my childhood, trying my best to compose the view of the woods as the sky turns indigo on some late spring evening.” 

Straight off the heels of his more hectic IDM EP on the sister label Cold Blow, Otto returns to what he is perhaps most well known for, pastoral ambient and piano works. Inner Beauty refines what the highly sought-after 2020 album Kimmeltie revealed. Deeply introspective compositions that embody the surroundings in which it was recorded - the Finnish countryside, the forests, the harvest. 

Album available for pre-orders on LP and digital. Also announced on SWIMS is Otto Taimela & Olli Aarni collaborative limited 7" of Clouds / Waterland, covers of Gigi Masin perennials.
