In seiner Heimat Großbritannien ist Shootingstar Tom Odell bereits in der Riege der ganz großen Singer/Songwriter angekommen - seine Ballade "Another Love" erreichte auf Anhieb die Top Ten der UK Single Charts und sein Debütalbum "Long Way Down" schoss sensationell von null auf eins der britischen Verkaufshitliste. Zuvor war der 22-jährige Sänger und Pianist mit dem BRITs' Critics Choice Award ausgezeichnet worden, den er aus den Händen von Vorjahres-Preisträgerin Emeli Sandé entgegen nehmen konnte.

Hierzulande erhielt Odell Karriere-Starthilfe vom Telekommunikations-Riesen Telekom Deutschland. "Another Love" war die Kampagnen-Musik für den TV-, und Online-Spot des Unternehmens, der ab Ende Mai überall zu sehen war. Die Folge: "Another Love" kletterte in den deutschen Charts bis auf Platz elf, rangiert
seit 22 Wochen in der Media Control Hitliste, verkaufte sich bislang mehr als 150.000 Mal und erreichte damit Goldstatus! In den Airplaycharts hält sich die wunderbare Ballade bereits seit 34 (!) Wochen. Das Album "Long Way Down" schoss auf Platz siebzehn in die deutschen Charts und war zehn Wochen in den Top 100 gelistet. Jüngst begeisterte der junge Brite die Zuschauer des SWR3 "New Pop" Festivals in Baden-Baden und beim NDR2 "Soundcheck Neue Musik" Festival in Göttingen.

Nun liegt der Song in einem schicken Remix des deutschen DJs Zwette vor, der den Song zufällig im Radio gehört hatte. Der aufstrebende Produzent, ein alter DJ-Hase im Clubzirkus Mitteldeutschlands, zauberte aus dem romantischen Slowie eine tanzbare Clubversion unter Verwendung von Odells wunderbaren Vocals, dem unverwechselbarem Klaviersound und dezenten Beats.

So grateful we found Daniel Ahearn, a Singer based in Los Angeles, who wrote this song together with Rich Jacques. We discovered this track on Youtube and really loved everything about it. The lyrics are very intense and emotional. But (and this was most important for us) absolutely authentic. 

We took the vocals and built a whole new arrangement and instrumentation around them. We think this song is brilliant for thoughtful moments, but also while just chilling with your friends enjoying good music!

Saddle up was the first hit single in 1982 by the french singer and songwriter Jaques Pepino, better known under his artist name David Christie. The track became a hit all over Europe and an all time club classic during the next decades until today. David Christie also wrote several songs for Tina Charles, including her world hit ‚I love to love’, by using one of his pseudonyms James Bolden or Napoleon Jones. David Christie also wrote many other songs for artists such as Grace Jones or Gloria Gaynor.

For an official remake of Saddle up with the original vocals from ’82, the german DJ/producer duo Traumton teamed up with the US rapper Eric Singleton for a new version produced in the current Tropical House style. Traumton gained first international success mainly through their remakes of Tina Charles’ ‚I love to love‘, which entered several charts worldwide and achieved millions of streaming. Even though their roots lie more in club-related Deep House and House tracks, Traumton has always been open for new experiences. This time they teamed up with Eric Singleton, who became worldwide famous as the rapper and part of the german group Modern Talking during their comeback. Eric Singleton grew up in New York before he came to Germany to join several music projects. Amongst others he was featured on 2 singles by Sinclair & Wilde, which achieved gold and platinum status in several countries. His big breakthrough came when he became a part of Modern Talking. The first single ‚You’re my heart, you’re my soul’, reached the top charts in nearly every country incl. Uk, as well as the following singles and albums, which all achieved gold and platinum status and selling millions of units. Eric Singleton joined Modern Talking also on at least 6 world tours during the years, meanwhile collaborating with different artists like Shaggy.
