After two decades of redefining electronic music with unconventional and psychedelic club sounds, German DJ and producer Acid Pauli needs no introduction. His third album MOD arrived in September 2020 as a remarkable tribute to the modular synthesizer, the most trusted tool in Acid Pauli aka Martin Gretschmann's arsenal. He created the record almost entirely with modular systems, reveling in the possibilities and stretching the limits of machines that sing to themselves. 

The first part of MOD Remixes saw innovative reinterpretations by Pilocka Krach, JakoJako and other notable names from the Berlin underground. Now on the second part, Acid Pauli's collaborators bring expertise from all over Europe and beyond, resulting in a magnificent international collection.

Well reputed DJ Tennis and Roderic approach "No Kick, No Cry" from completely different directions. The former accentuates the prominent kick drum and adds new layers to the track, making it a true earworm, while Roderic keeps it more low-key, carefully coating the already immersive and ASMR-like soundscape in nuanced texture. 

"Du Brecht, Ich Dub" undergoes a complete makeover by German producer, DJ and vocalist Perel. With two extra minutes and a bright newfound energy, her version plays like a soundtrack for an aerial footage of a neon-lit city. Needless to say, it is an irresistible dancefloor-filler. 

Slovakia-born and London-based artist Lenka Toma adds a warm touch to "Life Polarizer". United by the consuming groove, Acid Pauli's chirping and bubbling soundbites come alive with Toma's techno backdrop.

"Sublime Frequencies Of Cairo" becomes subject to quite a metamorphosis, too. What was already an album highlight is elevated further by Jonathan Kaspar, resident of Cologne's nightlife hotspot Gewölbe. His beat pulsates throughout the initially beatless track and masterfully connects the dots between Acid Pauli's floating loops, eventually finding its way to the foreground.

On its remixed version, MOD reemerges as an entirely new record, basking in all these diverse influences while firmly retaining the trailblazing lifeforce of its creator.

'Sincopat welcomes back home Audio Junkies, one of the most prolific artists in terms of releases on the label. And they have another master mind for remix duties: Ukrainian musical wizard The Organism. 

Revolution is the first chapter of the story. Audio Junkies demonstrates once again how to make all the pieces of a song fit together perfectly, a hypnotic musical journey from start to finish where all the sounds run like clockwork. The Organism deconstructs the original track to turn it into something totally special and unexpected, keeping the original soul but giving it an incredible twist.Another exercise of perfect shapes is Bidood, where nothing is missing and nothing is left over. With a monstrous and catchy bass as the main character, it will be hard to get it out of your head. Last but not least, Spectral Layers closes the perfect circle. Another exquisite and timeless track that draws the complex simplicity and rich sound of the artist. Enjoy!'

Spanish talent Neuralis returns to onedotsixtwo for his first full EP after impressing with a stunning remix back in 2024. Now stepping into the spotlight with ODST101 – The Poison Creosote, he proves his broad ability to craft unique, diverse, and unpredictable tracks that refuse to follow the rulebook.

Like the Greek legend Icarus, Wax Wings is soaring towards greatness. Taking after his Brazilian father, a musician and British mother, an artist, Wax is a man of many talents. From his visual creations in paint, graffiti and photography to his fashion, make-up artistry and of course music production, his abilities span endless forms of expression. 

Alongside his own releases, Wax has also found the time to work with artists from Skunk Anansie’s Skin through to the Dead Can Dance’s Lisa Gerrard and remix Maya Jane Coles, Nocturnal Sunshine, Eli & Fur, Zebra Katz, The Presets, Skindred, Vök, Sofi Tukker, GAPS, Fischerspooner and Bronski Beat. With his own work having been remixed by dance music dignitaries like Jay Shepheard, Warboy, Absolute and Panorama Bar regular Alinka. 

Equally as successful as a DJ, Wax has supported an ever-growing list of the cream of the underground scene such as Chris Liebing, Ellen Allien, Kim Ann Foxman, Joris Voorn, Alan Fitzpatrick, Loco Dice, Adam Beyer, Pan-Pot, Heidi, Derrick Carter… In particular, Wax has now become Maya Jane Coles opener of choice at her events around the World. Early in 2018, Wax was confirmed as resident of one of the year’s most talked about new events: He.She.They., and to date has played events including Fabric, Printworks, Hyte, XOYO, SW4, Ministry of Sound, Watergate (Berlin), Sankeys (Tokyo), Pacha and Destino (Ibiza), EL Monasterio (Barcelona), Meadow in the Mountains (Bulgaria) and Secret Garden. Guest mixes have followed for Radar Radio, Rinse FM, Capital Xtra, The Selector and Data Transmission alike. 

With a forthcoming EP “Falling” on the prestigious Mobilee Records as well as another EP and an album in the pipeline, 2019 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Wax Wings. Moving into what he calls a darker, more introspective sound, you can expect a unique, live feel with the producer’s debut album (release date TBC).
