Shelflife presents the Sunshine Hair EP from Goodly Thousands, coming March 24th on limited 7" vinyl and digital formats. 

The EP is the follow up to the nearly sold out debut 7" "Honest / I Wish," which has earned a great deal of praise from guitar pop fans worldwide. We're happy to say this EP continues right where they left off. The four songs are filled with their classic pop goodness that will absolutely knock your socks off! Lovely Bryds-y guitar lines, jangly rhythms, and Colm's perfectly crafted vocal melodies will make this one release you do not want to miss! 

The band started in 2010 in the small town of Dundrum, Ireland and since then have relocated to Dublin. Colm writes all the songs, plays guitar and sings, Aaron plays drums and Darren plays bass. Fiachra McCarthy, at Heftrax studio in Dublin, did the recording and mixing and contributed a couple of extra bits of guitar and percussion. The songs are all written about single moments in time in Dublin over the past six years. "If people listen hard they might catch where exactly I'm talking about...," says Colm, "but you might have to be from here. Jangly guitars though, are for everyone."

Things that have to happen happen

Just returned back from Burning Man, where we happened to meet these two really nice fellas who turned out to be the fathers of this little cloud. Thanks guys!
Even if we only stayed a few days, Nico Stojan and me had an amazing time with all ups and downs and of course plenty of dust everywhere.
Being in Black Rock City was a perfect reset and somehow seems to become more and more of a new general birthday, meaning that after Burning Man you start into a new year.
This is exactly how I feel. One year has come to an end and a new one is taking over. Also it coincides with the end of the summer up here in the northern hemi.
Now I am very looking forward to go back to the studio and meditate with my machines and cables. I urgently need this time to become a bit more quiet, not yet hibernating, but still creative. This is the reason why there won’t be many shows in the next months. But yet there are some more Acid Sundays to come and of course you always are invited to tune in, turn on and drop out, be it here or on mixcloud or simply on acid. 

Now let’s jump a little back to the beginning of this summer. After a Fusion pause last year it was about time to return and I have to say it was more than a pleasure to play at Seebühne that early Sunday morning, right after Be Svendsen’s amazing set. For some moments even the sun joined for a little dance. And there were so many happy faces to see.
The last 20 minutes are a reminiscence to my set at Splore festival, New Zealand, earlier this year.  I had brought some of my favorite Kiwi music, but ended up in a rush towards the end as they were cutting my set-time. I wanted to to this one more time, properly, without rush. Fusion was the perfect place and moment for it.
You probably might find some tracks that you already know from my others sets, but frankly, I think rather a bit of repetition than not sharing this one at all.
There is one track in particular that I have been playing over and over for the past nine months and I still can not get bored of it. It manifested the day Nana went on to her journey. 
With all my heart, I believe that I was only channelling at the studio that day, because if it really was a track that I had made consciously I would surely have gotten bored after playing it that often ;-)
A lot of people have been asking wether it will be released and when. I am happy to announce: Yes it will be released, almost soon. Even more happy that it will be released on one of my favorite labels, I never dared to ask.
But see, things that have to happen happen.

In December 2016, SKRS went on a pilgrimage to Bengaluru, South India, to be in the presence of Enlightened Master and Hindu Avatar, His Holiness Bhagwan Sri Paramahamsa Nithyananda Swami at his Bengaluru Aadheenam (temple-monastery compound).

This mix showcases a powerhouse selection of devotionals that they heard there for the first time and were completely enthralled by. This music was literally blasted day and night - often via impromptu PA systems roped and mounted on flatbed trucks - as part of a seemingly endless cycle of processions and celebrations. The music was heady, wonderfully over-the-top, uplifting, frenzied, ecstatic. They hope to convey even just an ounce of this very energy and experience through this mix.

KOKOKO! - L.O.V.E.

The storm came and lit up the sky with lightning half an hour into my set. Thunder and rain pounded down on us and we were evacuated into our cars to wait it out. The music stopped everywhere and people ran for cover. But when the rain suddenly stopped, people started slowly crawling out of their holes and I was able to finish my set after all :)

Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan's label Ouïe proudly presents the original film score and soundtrack album for the new German moive 'Es war einmal Indianerland' which translates into 'Once upon a time in Indian Country’ which is centered around brand new songs by Acid Pauli.
A 17-year-old boy is at the odds with himself and the world. Pretty normal. But the coming-of-age-story “Es war einmal Indianerland” is not normal: it’s exceptional. Thrilling. Imaginative. The narration is virtousic, just as the attendant nominated novel by Nils Mohl who also wrote the screenplay – in collaboration with Max Reinhold. A psychedelic city-western ! Charged with pictures full of symbolism that are composed into a hypnotic whirl by Ilker Çatak – who won the Max-Ophüls price and who has been distinguished with the student Oscar for « Sadakat ». Another highlight : the outstanding cast. Newcomer Leonard Scheicher (« Quellen des Lebens ») as protagonist Mauser in between Jackie played by Emilia Schüle (« Ku’damm ’56, « Jugend ohne Gott »), and Edda played by Johanna Polley (« Mumbai »). In additional roles there’s Clemens Schick (« James Bond 007 – Casino Royale », « 4 Könige ») as Mausers father, and Joel Basman (« Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter ») as Mausers pal Kondor.
