Beautiful Shaked Gur and I brought the magical Blindance movement to the amazing gathering - Loveolution Festival. 2 hours workshop of free dance with blindfolds.
so the set was a little bit shorter then the regular session, but, very deep and powerful. i played with my computer on bluetooth, without headphones or any controller filters. still i feel the story of the set channeled ( is this a word? ) in a beautiful way. so i decided to share this one with you - for loving & healing.

Gingaí is the tribal downtempo music project of Portuguese artist Henrique Saias, a rising talent in the global folktronica scene.  He is passionate about musical cultural heritage and traditions such as the Australian aborigines’ didgeridoo and the Afro-Brazilian art of capoeira.  His sound brings the sonic and vibrational essence of these and other cultures from around the world.

The Gingaí sound web is filled with tribal elements, warm synths and elaborate percussions.  In the stories he weaves, he’s as fluent in the meditative and transcendental as he is in the expansive ritual of dance.  His music floods the dancefloor with earthy basslines, rattles, driving groove and positive energy.

This piece just felt like time travel to me. Not the Sci-fi kind, but the real kind, in real time, in real life. We all have more experience with that now, than we used to. The past few years have flown on by, I suppose you could say at the speed of Life. It's hard to feel that sometimes, but please always remember, that we are the lucky ones. 

And so, I named it "Life-Timed". Improvised and recorded earlier this year, I believe it was in July, one of my favorite times of any year. It was a completely accidental gift to my ears, and maybe yours too. I hope you like it. 💙

The Shipibo (indigenous people from the peruvian amazon) see and hear geometric patterns in nature and reproduce the designs on their clothing and paint them on their houses and boats. The Shipibo believe the patterns are healing on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual levels.

Every design carries its own specific meaning. For example,
to bring healing, wisdom, protection or to attract abundance.
These ‘artful prayers’ can be sung by the Shipibo because each design also functions as a musical score, called an ‘Icaro’.

The design element and the ‘Icaro’ operate
cohesively to carry the power of the healing
or blessing.
