John 8. Jesus talking with the Pharisees.
Jesus’ followers hear his voice.
How to tell the difference between Jesus’ people and the others.
“The only way you can serve Jesus is to do the things he said.”
“A man that edifies himself does things for himself.”
We spend a lot of our lives answering questions we have, and the other part getting stuff (our worldly walk.)
There are only two motivations for any action – Love or hatred.
The Pharisees were proud and unteachable know-it-all's, saying that Jesus himself was possessed.
Man wants to leave a mark in the world – pride.
Now it doesn’t matter if I am known or not – doing the work of the Lord matters.
To use righteous judgement is to use his words. Don’t condemn others. God gives discernment – e.g. Jesus knew their thoughts – but he didn’t point out flaws of others.
Actually do the things that Jesus said to do. We can do those things (it’s not too hard.)
Forget about men – be true to your Lord and Savior.
Mike likes criticism, not praise. Praise leaves room for pride. Mike constantly prays that the Lord would keep him humble. There is one beautiful thing about being at the bottom – the only way you can look is up.

Believe in Jesus – we can’t say “I believe in Jesus” and we don’t do anything he asked us to do. That shows we only know of him, and do not really believe in him. Your mind must be transformed.
What you want and what you do must bring God glory. When you want to bring God glory, you’re so focused on the work, you are not focused on receiving – you’re focused on doing.
If you love Jesus, follow his commands and love one another. You will be united with Jesus and the Father.
If you love someone you will hear everything they say.
The Holy Ghost was sent to remind us of the words of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ words bear witness in God’s children’s hearts, but not in the hearts of the wicked.
God is merciful and does not want to lose us – judgement is held back for our sake, until we are in position.
If it’s not the will of God – even if it’s compassionate – it belongs to the prince of this world, Satan.
Everything Jesus told us to so, our flesh wants to do the opposite.

We interact with people to enrich them in their walk with Christ - not to just communicate.  Speak life into situations - what you say matters.
There is comfort in knowing Christ when we go thru trials.
Story of praying for children with pneumonia...and their healing.
Lets not challenge each other with our knowledge, but seek to edify all.

Division happens to any of us when we begin to think of self.
COT experienced electrical difficulties...and now water in the foundation of building because pumps don't have power.
We have allowed things to seep thru in COT...storms and trials come to show us what needs to be fixed...and mark what is faulty.
There is no competition here.  That is a lie.  We are to lift up each other and the ministries that are a part of COT and encourage growth.
Let us not be led by assumptions but by love and the truth.
Perfection and transformation come from fixing the points of damage.
Satan exploits and waits until you cannot do anything and then he attacks.

Have you separated yourself fully from someone?  We are called to bring the light into the darkness and not to be comfortable...praying for ourselves and avoiding those we clash with.
When you are trying to survive, you want nothing that threatens it.  When another speaks their piece of which you do not agree with , you keep your peace.
Let the Lord speak His truth into that person.
We do what we desire to do or we would not do it.  We are the builders - God is the corrector.  We are laborers together with the Lord.
You keep your mind of carnality by becoming critical of the lives of others.  We do not judge another man's servant.
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Never judge what you have no experience with.  The carnal mind is centered on self.  If you are not trusting the Lord, you are not serving Him.
You are the temple of God...you have the Spirit of God.  Upon this rock will I build my church...the identification of who Christ Jesus is!
