Their sounds have been spun and streamed into over 80 countries worldwide, making them one of the most respected names in contemporary dance music.
Paper is celebrating by releasing ‘Best of’ compilations curated by two of their most influential artists; Crazy P and Flash Atkins. Each will cover different eras, PAP001 – 100 and PAP101 – PAP260 respectively with their favourite moments from the catalogue.

UK talent Dan Wainwright drops ‘Rituals’, a three track offering of mutant disco sounds on Night Noise Music backed with a remix from Joe Morris, this June. With a catalogue that takes in edits for To Rack and Ruin and Creative Use as well as singles for the likes of Hungarian HotWax and Through God’s Own Eyes, Wainwright is steadily becoming a must-check for those who enjoy lower tempo nightclub sounds of a discoid nature and this EP, already given ALFOS approval by Sean Johnston, shows why.

Opening with the anthemic ‘Raindance’, a growling groover characterised with bright, evolving synth hooks and tight delays which culminates in balearic guitar bliss, Joe Morris’ Dubwise remix of ‘Rain Dance’ closes out the package in, as the title suggests, nifty dubbed out style.

ECLECTICS RELEASE VISIONS BY STATUES 
Eclectics serves up a soothing elixir for troubled times.

Essex-based trio Statues make their label debut with a four-track EP showcasing two original compositions, each with its own remix. 

“Lele” begins with a marimba ringing out – a Balearic clarion call if ever there was one. What follows is live and direct. Keyboard lines that glisten and atmospheres that bed in and circle around you, leaving you dazed but never fazed.   
Birmingham’s Flamingo Flame step up to the plate for remix duties and use some weighty acid lines and a beautiful vocal to anchor the spirit of the original to something altogether more terrestrial, but no less magical. 

“Visions” on the other hand is a tantric delight – all build and the promise of potential. Proving once and for all that soul isn’t a four letter word, saxophone, keys, strings and delayed guitar build a suitably jazz-infused backdrop for the subtle vocal to move around, while the listener gets lost in the detail. And let’s face it – we could all do with losing ourselves in something these days. 

“Papa” Max Manetti, fresh from his vinyl debut with Eclectics, takes the baton for remix duties on this one, translating it into a track that retains the spirit of the original, giving it a new bassline and a gentle percussive sense of purpose without once losing the laidback lustre. 

When circumstance pushes people apart, music remains a unifying force. With this release, Statues have perfected that irresistible pull.

An-2 returns with a new album 7 years after the previous one, demonstrating the evolution of his sound, rich stylistic diversity and commitment to the perception of the surrounding reality, which can most accurately be described as magical realism.

The album, in contrast to the previous two ("On Air" and "Sunset Stories"), which were created outside the city, was composed in the new studio of Theomatic Records in a quiet part of the center of St. Petersburg and is saturated with pure shades from the calm part of the mood palette of this city.

The big difficulty with the process of bringing together the diverse material of the album was that almost all the tracks were written using different approaches and instruments, some were created on the go using an ipad and headphones. This became possible only due to the forced pause of the first half of 2020, during which many external processes of the surrounding life were put on hold, which freed up energy for rethinking the experience accumulated in recent years.
