It is with a feverish excitement that we can finally announce the next EP in our catalog from our newest addition to the Second State family: Amelie Lens. Besides being quite a multi-talented virtuoso, the Belgian artist comes in hot and heavy for her debut release ‘Let It Go’ and with it showcases her prowess for dark, cutting-edge techno. Over the span of four tracks Lens takes us on a tour-de-force journey into the cerebral spaces of large, dark rooms and flashing strobe lights. Kicking things off is the hypnotically inducing 'Wild' with looping vocals laid over an ever increasing pressure of percussion and white noise. Much like the EP opener, 'Linger On' casts the same spell yet picks up the pace with racing snares and meteoric synth washes creating a deeply euphoric ride. The title track ’Let It Go' is up next and is by far the most 'cheeky' tune of the EP with a twisted acid line swirling around the constant begging of Lens’ voice encouraging you to "Let It Go, Let It Out". Rounding out the EP is 'The Finest Hour' and Lens wraps up her debut with the most psychedelic cut of the package. Low rumbling bass tones and spaced out pads over sparse drums leave lots of room for the imagination providing each listener to create their own journey to navigate. If this is Amelie Lens' debut with us, we expect a lot of very big things to come from the young Belgian and so should you. Welcome Amelie Lens!

Constantly reworking and developing its live set, Buried Secrets delivers high-octane Techno, creating a unique sonic blend of various genres. Through self-produced performance videos frequently shared online, the artists showcase the constant reworking of their live set. Taking the time freed up by not having to dig for music to play to instead refine their own craft.
To let the music speak for itself, Buried Secrets remains an anonymous project. The name refers to the inspiration behind the music: Buried Secrets aims to unearth the artists previously dismissed musical influences, drawing mainly on the tough and fast sound of Techstep Drum & Bass. After its first releases on Labels like Ōtomo, Codec992, Buried Secrets quickly gained notoriety with releases on Monnom Black, Soma, Green Fetisch Records, and Black/Plague.

Creation Through Destruction - Creatio Ex Exitium

The cyclic nature of the Universe: without destruction there is no creation. 
Think of who you are, a human being consisting of billions of atoms - some of which originating from an exploded star thousands of lightyears away - you are created by destruction.

In music we see the same concept. Artists know the struggle of distorting, building, re-building, deleting, sampling and destroying their music to, in the end create a masterpiece. Ouroboros is all about that process: creation through destruction - In exitium creaturae.

The Ouroboros platform aims to promote talented artists by giving them a platform to release their work on. The Ouroboros platform will provide one track and a podcast by a different artist each week, no exceptions. Each podcast and track will be labeled with a number: [RBRS001].
