This week on the guest series, we are pleased to host one of the UK most anticipated mental and hardtechno artist : 

Jamie Ball.

Back in the past, he signed lots of stunning EPs on anthology labels such as @stay-up-forever-records 's sublabel 4x4, @the-third-movement 's MLM hardtechno oriented sublabel as well and of course on his own one : Turning Point.
Today he delivers to us a pushy old school set, playing lots of his old and new productions.

GUEST SERIES : Jamie Ball (Old School Set)

For this installment we've invited London based artist Fairground of Tears to take you on a menacing journey through the darkest realms of industrial/ebm techno.

Fairground of Tears is an artistic concept run by Piotr Sledzinski. A concept that is categorised by the darker, industrial and more energetic tones of the techno genre.

Piotr has experimented with electronic music of all colours partly through his former alias and alternative electronica project Ne Plus Ultra along with an involvement in the Passive Front Records imprint. This wide ranging experience and hunt for expression ultimately leads itself to the Fairground of Tears concept and Exiled event series. The latter playing host to Melania, Operant, Violet Poison, Codex Empire, Inhalt Der Nacht to name a few and establishing itself as a premier and forward thinking events series. 

In that very same vein his own sets and productions are not bound by any specific style. Consequently an eclectic mixture of dense industrial textures and atmospheres as well as electronic body music can be expected in his mixes and productions.

With an outstanding track selection rarely below 130 bpm, @illousion8 strongly focuses on the heavy, trippy, sometimes hypnotic but always dark side of techno. This particular sound has rooted her in the local techno scene, where she has played at most of the Leipzig’s techno clubs, including Institut fuer Zukunft (IfZ) and Distillery as well as festivals all around the melting pot. Apart from her work as DJ, she also organizes a party series at IfZ with the @nebulakollektiv and is part of @featfem, a rising platform and network around feminism in art, culture and clubbing.
Once again we proudly present you a driving journey through sound spiked with passion, energy and a perfect sense for the dancefloor on which we all shall rave together again, soon. We can't wait to hear illousion live!

satin is a DJ and producer from the eastern French scene and founder of FLIP. First known for some releases, notably for 240km/h, he now turns towards a darker and more mental universe, tinged with analogue sounds and tribal rhythms. Always in search of creation and defending pure techno, he tries to create a primitive and percussive atmosphere through his mixes and his productions. Through this EP, satin seeks to explore sounds, ranging from tribal rhythms to more textured sounds. He imagines the latter as crossing a primitive jungle: from the arrival in it, passing through the pressure and fear of exploration until the deliverance of arrival.

Trained on the fast-techno floors of Copenhagen, HORNS has the city's signature sound running through their rave DNA, channeling years of lessons learned as a dancer into the DJ booth. HORNS is attracted to fast and hard styles of dance music and in their sets and mixes they harness them to create bright, emotional and maximal energies.

"They Told Us Summer Is An Attitude" is named after the rave series "Summer Is Not A Season It's An Attitude", which was held by Fast Forward Productions in Copenhagen in the spring and summer of 2017. At these raves HORNS got to know almost everyone they know today, and this mix is dedicated to those friends. 

HORNS is a resident at the fast techno party Vortex at the Copenhagen club Ved Siden Af, and is the art director of Courtesy's label Kulør.

Vixen (real name Antonina Karakostova) is a Bulgarian-born Copenhagen-based DJ and producer and member of the internationally recognised DIY collective Fast Forward. Since 2017 she has been gaining momentum both in the Danish scene and internationally, delivering uncompromising vinyl-focused fast techno sets which combine straightforward techno with industrial, trance and acid influences. In parallel she is also developing her sound as a producer with pending releases on labels Space Trax (DE) and Sacred Interface (DK).
