This Live set was recorded for SubRadio’s anniversary and prepared specifically for the occasion using as set up a Roland Tr-808, Eurorack modular system and various recordings from the Plants Army Revolver.
What a strong experience we experienced, we couldn't have asked for a better streaming to celebrate our two years. Setting of the flight we have enjoyed an out of this world Live set by the hand of the Plants Army Revolver on board countless modular connections, drum machines (that beautiful 808) and their characteristic sound synthesis, always deep, always analog and accompanied in complete harmony by the visual constructions of the great Ruben Castillo. 
Broken and paused rhythms, deep atmospheres of an organic character without equal, enveloping textures in constant expansion and endless hypnotic constructions acting on various points of the body and mind. A true harmonic, mental and esoteric journey to float peacefully around the cosmos through a carefully crafted progression of beautiful soundscapes.

Olmo Rodríguez, known as Tevor Handa (@tevorhanda) from Sevilla, Spain, embarked on his electronic music journey in the year 2000, drawing inspiration from iconic bands such as The Chemical Brothers, The Durutti Column, or Kraftwerk. His DJ career, spanning 19 years, he initially explored the realm of house rhythms but swiftly unearthed his true passion within the classic techno genre. From that pivotal moment onwards, Tevor Handa's evolution as a DJ took a more serious and professional trajectory, infusing his sets with a technical and profound essence. Today, his Techno mixes are revered for their unwavering solidity, characterized by deep, hypnotic, and cerebral soundscapes that make a lasting impression, often extending into immersive extended mixes.

Severja (real name Jacopo) is an Italian-born DJ and label manager based in Berlin, with almost two decades of experience behind the decks. Known for his intricate mixing between genres, Severja has a deep understanding of how to build momentum and keep the energy high on the dance floor. Severja's DJ sets are genre defying, spanning from ambient to deep techno, drum and bass, and more. With a particular love for IDM music, he brings a unique style and creativity to everything he does, making him a true artist and a force to be reckoned with in the world of electronic music. In addition to founding Midgar, a Berlin-based record label that curates a wide range of sounds, Severja is also part of Monument, a Norwegian music platform and festival organizers crew. With a passion for music that shines through in every set, Severja's sets are not to be missed for anyone who loves electronic music.

"I'm happy to share with a larger audience this DJ set that I performed last May at the lost cabin of the self-managed micro festival #perpen24. The musical selection is all about soundtracks that intermingle to create a special score for the occasion. The idea of giving the audience a cinematic experience was well received by a fantastic audience, with a high (and gratifying) commitment, love, and respect towards music and its transmitters. This small perpendicular community let itself be enchanted by this blind film, and it was wonderful. I invite anyone who is interested to experience the same, as always and whenever possible, trying to engage in deep listening without other tasks, alone or in good company... Enjoy!".

December's full moon brings the last Selene Series mix of the year. Our 53rd selection wraps up a special year, in which we have had the opportunity to share countless musical adventures. We want to take this opportunity to send a heartfelt 'thank you' to all the artists that have been part of the Selene Series universe: those that contributed to 'The Continuum', those that released music we played in our mixes, and those that made us dream and dance on the dancefloor.  

For the year's closer we chose a sound that, although has been around for years already, we feel has definitely stepped up as a big reality in the 'deep and psychedelic music' realm. Some call it half-time, others tribe, other grey area... but this sound reaches beyond those labels. It picks from breaks, drum and bass, and it is infused with squelchy, wiggly sound design. Some interpret it as fast, some interpret it as, thus the name, half-time. The dancer decides. This sound is as relevant as ever, and we thought there was no better way to finish 2024.

Bio:

Salva Coromina  aka ABSIS. 
His involvement in the Barcelona scene began in the late 90s under the alias MouseDown/MouseUp, having years of experience as Dj resident in club such as Razzmatazz (The loft) and festivals like Sonar.
He has always been exploring the deeper side of electronic music, moving from ambient to techno. ABSIS currently runs his residency at Laut club in Barcelona with the Midline parties... he is also a resident at the MOSTRA festival in Barcelona and his productions are published on labels such as hivern discs, Affin and Oslated among others.
