It's no secret that we are massive fans of the legendary ‘BXR’ label from Mauro Picotto here at Outburst! Mario Piu was the ‘yang’ to Mauro's ‘ying’ in the studio back in the day - and with a ridiculous amount of immense genre-busting collaborations, they dominated the trance/techno scene together. After Mario's techno debut last year on Techburst, we now proudly present his long overdue return to the trance scene! The Voolgarizm mix of 'Thunderstruck' is a classic-meets-modern tech-trance soundclash! With it's infectious groove and jagged stabs the track thunders along to the break - where a recognisable and catchy (yet seriously chilling) lead riff grabs us by the throat and just doesn't let go. The track's power-packed drop does not disappoint when it kicks in for some serious main-stage-mayhem! Mario's Original Mix supplies us with a more techno-driven alternative that packs every bit as much punch, but is more aimed towards those hazy and smokey 4am club moments. With it’s ‘stripped back’ tribal feel, this mix compliments the release to complete the ultimate package. We are extremely proud of this release from the legend that is Mario Piu.. maximum support expected!

Radio Slave readies a double A-side to mark the 100th release on Rekids this February.

Having recently celebrated ten years, the consistency of music on Matt Edwards’ Rekids is indisputable with releases from Nina Kraviz, Mr. G, David Morales, Peggy Gou and DJ Deep to name a few. Aside
from his A&R abilities Edwards’ extensive understanding of electronic music is evident in his various pseudonyms. Amongst these Radio Slave is easily his most illustrious and most fitting for the seminal label’s milestone 100th release.

Containing all the hallmarks of a Radio Slave production, ‘Another Club’ merges looped vocals with thudding kicks as echoing stabs and infectious hats work their magic. On the flip, ‘Feel The Same’ is a
funky slice of Detroit inspired house.

Edo’s trademark dark sound features in all three tracks, with heavy kick drum patterns and nagging  hypnotic synth lines and vocal cuts and fx in the breaks. All three originals are very playable dark techno tracks which we are sure will feature in many DJ’s sets for time to come.

Remixes come from Hydraulix label owner D.A.V.E. The Drummer and the fantastic T78 from Autektone & Sabotage records. Both remixes take their chosen tracks to a new dimension adding a bit more scope to the release.
