My name is Jason A Mullinax and I'm a percussionist, electronic composer and music educator based in Carrboro, NC.  I like to explore the boundaries between experimental and pop music.

Amptext, the solo project of Gary Rouzer, seeks to investigate the boundary between music/noise, sound/silence, and instrumental technique/gesture using cello, prepared bass, clarinet, cardboard, cassette tapes, amplified objects, record player, and field recordings.

Amateur musician. Classical guitarist, keyboardist. Just a home artist who enjoys the sound. I compose electronic music as a hobby. No one is listening to it 😀

Nine Strings is the duo project of
Daniel Barbiero (double bass, preparations) 
Gary Rouzer (cello, amplified textures).
 
We explore the territory between free improv and 20th century composition by using graphic scores, text, movement, painting and our ears.
 
We sometimes become nine_strings_trio with the addition of invited guests to fill the third chair. So far Jimmy Ghaphery (saxes, flutes, field recordings), Jeff Surak (zither, electronics, insects), Steve Hilmy (electronics), Ryan Jordan (trumpet), and Chris Videll (electronics) have joined us.
