The waters were crystal clear and calm. The weather had been kind to them; what a perfect day to explore the ocean. Below the surface, a whole other world awaited them: schools of brightly coloured fish darted in their masses between the vibrant coral, kelp and anemones that dotted the seabed, while turtles effortlessly glided through the water around them. If only they could live here amongst the sea life they thought to themselves - things would be so much simpler. 

For their fourth outing, Birmingham-born, Bristol-based imprint space•lab are bringing Rambal Cochet into the fold. Perfectly placed for the label's wiggly groove-driven output, the Ukrainian producer - who also makes music under the alias Volta Cab - serves up four slices of psychedelic progressive trance. Laced with spaced-out atmospheres and propelled by rolling drum patterns and subaquatic acid lines, Galatians Syndrome is one for the heads down dancers.

Holly Lester’s Duality Trax imprint continues its mission to find balance within the music industry by bridging gender gaps and pushing the boundaries of contemporary club music. The next release sees the label's second VA come to fruition, focusing on six emerging and established artists that are all making their mark within their respective cities and beyond. 

Glasgow hero and resident of dance music institution Sub Club Stevie Cox opens things up on her first ever solo release, easing us gently in with a hypnotizing mesh of ethereal synths and dynamic drum programming, akin to the carefully constructed sets she has become known and loved for. Stones Taro, a pioneering force behind Kyoto's evolving electronic scene, brings his signature touch to ‘Iron Door’ and smoothly bridges the gap between UKG, breaks and house before rising Aussie producer DAWS serves a nostalgic blend of dreamy chords, jacking percussion and bumping bass. Up next, sample king Gallegos turns in a raw and crunchy acid workout that is sure to raise the roof with adrenaline inducing risers aplenty.

The VA takes a trippy left turn with Planet Euphorique and Craigie Knowes affiliate emkay, in a perception altering display of warping synths, shimmering gated vocals and loose drum patterns before rising star Body Clinic rounds things off. Fusing DnB and prog  in ‘159 Revolutions Per Minute’ against a futuristic backdrop, the young Northern Irish producer perfectly demonstrates the interwoven themes and concepts that the label seeks to platform. 

100% of compilation profits will be donated to Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

PREMIERE: Stevie Cox - Sandalphon (Duality Trax)

Patrick Kimber is a Chilean DJ and an electronic music producer. His project, Cameron Audio, dates back to 2020. Patrick’s music usually lies between breaks and ambient with a lo-fi aesthetic. Cameron Audio has also released songs for Panal Records and Orion Network labels compilations. Since then, his work has evolved and presents us now in Halcxn his new EP called Azul Marino.

Azul Marino is an EP composed of five tracks, recorded between 2023 and 2024. These songs were inspired by ambient and club music. This EP is the second work of the Chilean producer, after the release of ‘Archivos’ on 'De Goya Sounds' label.

In Azul Marino he showcases a more focused approach, with a few dance-floor cuts as well as his signature ambient influence. Songs like ‘Got Me Lookin’ 4 Ya’ and ‘Prog GPT’ have been influenced by jungle, breaks and garage, inspired by a UK nineties sound. Other songs in the EP have a more “soundscape” edge, such as the downtempo “Oscilar”, as well as the title track. Finally, ‘Soul’ merges atmospheric vibes with a broken but steady beat.

Azul Marino closes an important stage of Patrick’s career, which will undoubtedly be the boost he needs to continue his work as a DJ and producer.

not even noticed are an incredibly talented German duo who have been laser focussed on their signature sound since their foundation in 2020. Hailing from Frankfurt & Leipzig, Carsten & Lucas have amassed a gorgeous catalogue of music that incorporates the ethereality of Trance combined with the gritty, heads-down feeling of classic Acid House and Breakbeat. Their latest EP Source Transformation lands on Faux Poly this Spring.

This release showcases the artists inherent flair for treading the line between delicately uplifting melodies and rattling heavy bass. Each track conjures up a beautifully atmospheric future-acid world that is a dream to get lost in.

Words from the artist:
We started producing this EP in the late summer of 2023 in which some of our project’s biggest releases had dropped. Seeking for a way to stick to our signature sound without repeating ourselves we aimed for new grooves and patterns to combine with our sound sphere. The first three tracks of the EP were produced within one month, while Astral Surge was a few months older and happened to be rearranged to fit into the overall vibe of the EP. When Joe and Warren reached out to us to work with them on a Faux Poly project we had a feeling that these would be the tracks that could make an EP. We’re even more glad the feeling was mutual.

Shade of Sounds is pleased to welcome Warriors Of The Dystotheque for their debut release on the label with 'All The Sounds We Cannot Hear', a contender for a late summer Balearic anthem. A swirling arp, emotive strings and haunting guitars are fused with a Peter Saville vocal hook to combine into a blissed out sunrise theme. The 'CP1919' version is a dubbier take, presenting a late night ALFOS vibe. Balearic Jukebox's 'Italo Chug' mix does what it says on the tin while the Joe Morris 'Sunrise To Sunset' mix chills things out again, adding lazy drums and dramatising the strings and guitar for a perfect end of night moment.

is the second EP created by the acclaimed Wrocław artist - Donija. Somewhere between Hometown and Stockholm, the member of Sound Experience and zerozero collective continues to showcase versatility following his successful debut ep "Halabarda" release on SPLOT.
The newest release is an extension of what you might have experienced as his artist’s style, accompanied by the long nordic night, that sets a whole lot of new emotions to the already known palette.
Across seven tracks, the narrative goes from carefree and dreamlike to cryptic and energetic, with a tribute to old rap-electronic collaboration of Donija and Yes Stanley, as well as two brilliant remixes from Warsaw finest Iffi and already mentioned founder of Peace Tomorrow - Yes Stanley.

Guided by yet another of La Cheetah Club’s family members, Alfie leads us through the third Outer Zone with four homage laden techno cuts, all obliquely or otherwise brushing past centre-points of styles within the genre. Having proven himself as a producer capable of making serious dancefloor cuts as @theburrellconnection, this new moniker sees the Perth native coagulate sounds usually heard during the energetic moments before the always impending end of the night. Each track stems from influences or creative bursts entirely different from the last, with the EP opening to a lovingly crafted tribute to giants and ending with something drawn from wider sources of inspiration rendered singular. ‘Plastic Entertainment’ is anything but artificial, made with the direct intention of shaking walls and eyeballs.

Since humble beginnings in 2017, the label has gone on to release tracks from some of our favourite artists in the scene, as well curating events with essential charities and initiatives such as UN Women's HeForShe campaign, and also Earth Day.

To mark this special occasion we’re back where it all started, raising money and awareness for mental health. October 10th marks World Mental Health Day and this year's theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health is suicide prevention. To recognise and promote this occasion we’ve brought along another all-star cast to help us spread the message far and wide.

Standing in direct contrast to the stasis much of modern life has been held in, this EP offers up an opportunity to vicariously enjoy a world, where the futuristic vistas that techno promised at its genesis seem present. Machinic cycles, looping escapism and understated funk are the axes in which this space is rendered, a space that for a moment allows us some respite from stillness.
