The debut album „Silicate Squeak“ by @lukasoppenheimer as Windowseeker, releasing December 3rd via Infinite Drift, propagates through imagined realms of silicate.

Hardly anything found in nature is as ordered as crystal lattices that inform the unusual qualities of their parent bodies. A spectrum can be spanned between this periodic structure and the disarray found in liquid or gaseous matter, with the former lending itself to a sense of stability and harmony and the latter finding itself in unpredictability and chaos.
„Silicate Squeak“ translates activity on this spectrum into sound and applies this intuition to open a window to an illusory realm, capturing an ever-changing stream of diffracting signals, each moment dissimilar to the last yet undoubtedly of the same origin.

Aleksi's music is prepared with a special tuning system that eschews traditional Western musical scales in favor of a series of resonant frequencies known as "Kolundi Sequence".

You won't find too much mixing here, we were pretty loose when we did it so there will be imperfections but we reckon that it doesn't really matter when the music is this good. We could have gone on for hours but we still haven't paid for a premium Soundcloud account and we have managed to squeeze it in just under our limit. Wrap you lugholes around this.

“With this mix, I've been very inspired by a specific uplifting yet rolling sound that I've only been able to categorize in my efforts of organization as "forward feeling". Its a sound and a feeling that has always been a feature in my sets, and doesn't necessarily feel tied to a genre. Recently I've been digging for it more and finding a lot of fun and happiness when I play it out. It feels like the moment of when you're surrounded by friends and locked into a groove and the crowd is dancing together as one. Will Buck’s Off Track Records welcomes Brooklyn, New York’s Malik Hendricks onto the label this January with his ‘Praise’ EP, accompanied by a remix from Eli Escobar.

Malik Hendricks, a Brooklyn-based purveyor of raw and soul-infused house sounds previously found on labels such as Bliss Point, Coloring Lessons, Darker Than Wax and more.

Title-cut ‘Praise’ opens the flip side and sees Hendricks embrace a more classic House feel courtesy of gospel vocal lines, jazzy keys and robust percussion. One of New York’s most iconic DJs of the cities contemporary house and disco scene, Eli Escobar, then rounds out the release with his take on ‘Praise’, putting his own stamp on the original with the introduction of a bubbling arpeggio line, choppy bass stabs and a gritty drum machine workout.

In celebration of the new Good Morning Tapes clothing arriving in the shop, Greg and Ben got to work with a couple of 1210's and a couple of tape players and crafted this two hour mix of the GMT back catalogue, loads of favourites in there and a load we had to miss out too because two hours seemed like enough. Loads of crackle in there, at least one tape run over and a lead came loose at one point, but it was a moment in time and we were questing hard for the cosmic apple and all it's golden light.
