Mixtape No.51 is an hour of pure House from Rhythm, a creative platform for Aberdeen based DJ / Producer Andy Buchan. Rhythm combines a club night, podcast, production and DJing as well as a strong emphasis on collecting records that will stand the test of time.

Rhythm is playing regularly around clubs in Scotland, festivals and warming up for artists such as Chaos In The CBD, Horse Meat Disco, Mella Dee, Purple Disco Machine, Brawther, Ejeca and Robert Owens.

His productions have found a home on 124 Recordings, Clip.Art and Ship City Grooves.

I discovered Frankie Knuckles through his music, one that was, gentle, lush with a subdued, understated power that rocked many a dancefloor.
I had the privilege to hear him once in the heyday of his legendary residency at Sound Factory Bar in New York. I was submerged, sonically and emotionally by the beauty of the music I heard that night. I remember very clearly saying to myself that this would be impossible to ever equal.
That was 20 years ago, and I never got to hear this magic combination again.

I got to meet Frankie a few times, and he was always like his music, gentle, humble,   yet naturally imposing

I've put together here some of my favorite music from him. So that his legacy can keep on inspiring other people.

Rest in peace, Frankie, may your music keep on moving people eternally

Our 3rd instalment features Andy Buchan. Hailing from the granite city, Andy has dj'ed in and around scotland for over 12 years sticking with his preferred 1210's rather than hopping down the digital route. 
Andy's graced the silvery wheels of steel with some of the best dj's to come through Aberdeen working tightly with the infamous SNAFU (rip) and now with the TUNNELS. 
Hosting all day event & club nights as part of the Majestik collective up north, they have become very well known for their ability to throw parties.
