Out of the Wilderness was formed in the early 2000s as a music project to raise awareness of, and support for, the persecuted church.  Initially, it was just me on keyboard and I recorded the songs using a multi-track, playing multiple keyboard parts, sometimes recording multiple vocal tracks harmonizing different parts.  I played a few times at a church and enlisted the help  of JR & Heather Lawson, and their children, to help act out the songs "Can you hear?" and "Remember me", the songs about the persecuted church.  During our performance, I would share a brief message of how people could help support the persecuted church.
