Outplay’s third vinyl release will be from young Mancunian artist Loz Goddard. With releases on Large Music and Editorial he has been making a great impression with his combination of disco and beatdown house. A well balanced blend between samples and synth work makes this a varied EP and a great showcase for Loz’s sound. Outplay’s own Fouk takes care of the remix, turning the lush “It Will Come To Me” into a solid dance floor track with added bass line groove.

Suuuuuuuuuuper proud and happy to present you my next 12" via Lumberjacks in Hell that's out today!!! As maybe Mendel and Adrien will be able to testify I have been struggling with BROWN CURLS (performed by Khalil Anthony) for a couple of years, as I always had something that egged me about it. I dont see myself as a perfectionist but there is a certain line that mustn't be crossed . So it might come as no surprise that my favourite (released) version is actually not by myself but the restless genius Patchworks who transformed it into a perfect boogie bomb!!! Try it, it will work 100% !!!
But that's not even the title track! The EP is called IF YOU LIKE , hey? The track has been around just as long as the beginning of Brown Curls really and started as a remix, that morphed and morphed and morphed into what it is now, my take on a Afro-Boogie track. Thanks to everyone involved foremost Jan van Mastrigt on Bass, Derek van Beelen on Drums, Jair Wix on Guitar and Tim Jules on Keys.

There was little movement in the vast empty warehouse - the machinery rumbled and groaned all by itself. Man was no longer welcome here and the sound of the metallic framework echoed and banged in the vast hall. It was just noise but it mattered little for he was already deaf, the sound of the mechanics had left his ears in no fit state for the banging of drums and the clanging of heavy tools. As he left for the evening he turned out the lights in the great space... He shut the door. 

Mayhm is set to release a new two track EP, a sun kissed affair on Sundries with a touch of class. Igor Gonya founded the label in February of 2016 and it has since moved from strength to strength.

Sonar Kollektiv has been waiting for it anxiously: Key Elements‘ debut album leads Jazz music into the new decade down-the-line. The music Key Elements create is fresh, merciless and ruthless and has always the finger on the pulse of the time. The album‘s eight tracks are all far away from Broken Beat nostalgia or Beatmaking nedism, they breathe inspiration from the young, thriving British jazz scene. Key Element‘s initiator, DJ and producer Marian Tone, built up a reputation in the Berlin hiphop, soul and jazz scene over the years (also as a co-founder of Beatkollektiv). With all of his compositions you always feel this heritage and his love and passion for hiphop. But the other two allys within «Key Elements», drummer Waldi and the keyboard or bass player Jim Dunloop made their contribution with compositions and ideas as well. An album which was initially designed to be a mere solo project became an effort of a trio over the years being inherently consistent.

Already the opening track «Mike Needs Sugar» shows the direction this album will take us: To the land of the good groove. It‘s here where the three thoroughbred musicians feel on top of the world obviously and deliver one luscious track after the other. From the cheerful «Morning Boom» to the kinda furtively laid back «Impossible» and the final «Funky Dave», which could be on an Italian soundtrack from the 70‘s every single tone and note from «Key Elements» is great fun. Especially because even when you listen to it a second, third or fourth time you will discover new nuances and niceties again and again. As is right and proper for really good jazz album. Dig it!

Following releases on Nervous Records and Co-Operation Recordings, and with remix credits on Wah Wah 45s and Far Out Recordings, Ben Hauke returns to home soil for his latest release. 

Recorded in between nightshifts over the Christmas period, ‘Nightwork EP’ represents a feeling of wanting more from life. Enlisting YAM alumnus Joe Armon-Jones and fellow night-grafter Unkle Lemz, the EP moves from downtempo to drum tool over four tracks cementing Hauke’s reputation as one of South East London’s hardest working producers.
