@youngneska is a DJ and producer from the mythological land of the Basque Country. Recently relocated to Amsterdam, she started her electronic music path in Barcelona two years ago, quickly turning into one of the most promising upcoming DJs in the scene, playing at Sónar and Primavera Sound festival alongside having a residency in Human Club. She also curates Fauna & Flora, a multidisciplinary event that mixes electronic music with digital art, and hosts her own radio show Neskafe on Dublab radio. Enter Big Hands, who graced our February session in the box, saving the day (🙏) when my USB failed (thankfully, I had my records handy). His ingenious use of vinyl, playing some tracks 45s at 33 RPM, breathed new life into the airwaves, leaving a lasting impression on me as I revisit my record collection. Co-founder of @BaroqueSunburst alongside @SoreabUK, Big Hands is also the mastermind behind Ottomani Parker, a delightful addition to our last year event lineup. Operating within the lively beats of London's music scene, our protagonist finds their creative home at Honest Jon's Records shop. Dive into his session now, and experience the magic for yourself.

Ru's back with some squelchy low end frequencies and dubwise flavours. Nudging the BPM from 116 to 135, Ru builds tension through tempo and texture, with atmospheric intermissions as welcome relief from the bass weight pressure.

"It's been 6 months since I moved back home to Sydney, after 3 years living in Spain and Melbourne before that. Though my time away was special and necessary, returning to my community has been equally inspiring. Many people find their place in the world away from 'home', and in some respects that's true for my experience too. But lately I've been riding my bike down Bourke Street, catching myself thinking 'damn, this place is so ridiculously dope’. It's a sensation that's often felt on the dancefloor too, knowing that this is exactly where you need to be right now. That's the energy I had when playlisting this mix — a respawning on home turf."
