A look to the past.

"Memento" is a collection of unheard, unreleased tracks from the past few years that I've gone back over and finished, intended to evoke the sounds and styles from the early days of EET but flipped on its head with what I've picked up along the way. 

I wanted to create a project like this to give those who enjoy the chill instrumentals something to chew on this year, because we're moving in very different directions after this release. 

This is also the first half of a project I'm working on, which will be complimented by another EP releasing later this year.

This track tells an instrumental story, starting in with a somber, searching melody that works its way into soaring happiness and then comes make down again to where it began.

Proportions emerge, intervals breathe, and geometry settles into a calm, unspoken order. Here, understanding is not forced, it is absorbed. Time gently contours around acceptance, and meaning reveals its form through stillness. To persist is not always to move forward, but to remain aligned with what simply is, allowing depth to form where resistance fades.

Hey everyone!
Long time, no listen.

As some of you may know, I started working on my EP about 2 weeks ago and I actually more or less finished it, but I was very unhappy with the result. 
It felt very rushed and I didnt feel any sort of connection with the tracks I made anymore.
Situations like these are really difficult for me, since I just want to give in to my "perfectionistic" side, delete it all and start over with the EP and take my time until it's "perfect"...
But not only is this an unattainable goal (and also just my insecurities hiding behind "perfectionism"), I also know it's not a good way of handling things in terms of the business side of music.
I know I should release music very often, without thinking about it too much.

So what do I do? 
I knew I'd have to find a solution somewhere in the middle.

So I decided to regularly release music in a "single" way (without thinking too much about it and approaching it in a more "quantity vs. perfect" type of way), while working on my EP from scratch and giving myself more time for it.

The two tracks I'm releasing today are actually tracks that started out being ideas for the EP, but I was very unsure about them, I acutally still am, but I know, I need to get over my insecurities because in the end, no one cares even remotely as much as I do about my music.

Anyways, hope you still find these tracks entertaining. Will see you very soon with more music and at some point in the close future, with my EP :)
