Born in 1987, lives in Hyogo - he is a DJ based in Troopcafe in Kobe. Enchanted by street culture such as Skateboard, BMX and so on when he was in his 10s and influenced by club music culture which co-exists with it, he started clubbing and his career as a DJ.
The basis of his music is the kind of sound that is emotional and minimal - it has a stable flow, but at the same time there’s always something unexpected in it.
He has become a resident DJ for “Bush", a House & Techno party which has been running for a long time in Troopcafe. He has invited various DJs and artists both from inside and outside Japan to the party, such as Margaret Dygas, Vera, Daniel Bell, Dorian Paic, and DJ Masda.
In February 2016, he has played in Troopcafe with Rhadoo, who is an important figure for [a:rpia:r] which has built the basis of Romanian minimal scene. After this, Rhadoo invited him to play in “Rhadoo & Friends @ Ibiza Underground Club,” a party by Rhadoo which takes place every Thursdays in Ibiza during summer.
He has made “Howl” with Kensuke Fukushima, a DJ born who was on the same day, in the same year as him. It was released in September 2016 from Prismat Recordings (Poland).

1987년 생으로 효고에 거주하고 있으며, 고베의 Troopcafe 를 기반으로 활동하는 DJ 이다. 스케이트보드와 BMX 등 스트리트 컬쳐에 영향을 받아, 그는 10대부터 클럽 컬쳐를 접하게 되었고 그의 디제이로서의 커리어도 함께 시작하게 되었다.  그의 사운드적 기반은 감성적이고 미니멀하며, 안정적인 플로우를 가지고 있지만, 동시에 언제나 예상치 못한 부분을 보여주곤 한다. 
그는 Troopcafe 에서 오랜 기간동안 진행되온 House & Techno 파티인 "Bush" 의 레지던트로 활동해왔고, Margaret Dygas, Vera, Daniel Bell, Dorian Paic 그리고 DJ Masda 등 수많은 국내외 디제이들을 섭외하여 플레이 하였다. 2016년 2월, 그는 Troopcafe에서 루마니아 미니멀 씬의 토대를 잡은 [a:rpia:r] 의 주요 멤버인 Rhadoo 와 플레이 하였고, 그 이후 Rhadoo 의 초대를 받아 이비자 여름 시즌동안의 목요일 파티인 "Rhadoo & Friends @ Ibiza Underground Club" 에서 플레이하였다. 
그는 또한 동년 동일에 태어난 동료 다제이인 Kensuke Fukushima 와 만든 "Howl"을, 2016년 9월, 폴란드의 Prismat Recordings 에서 발매하였다.

SOICHI

1987年生まれ、兵庫県在住、神戸troopcafeを活動拠点とするDJ。
10代からSkateboard、BMXなどを通しストリートで遊ぶ醍醐味の虜となり、そこに自然と流れるクラブミュージックカルチャーに影響を受けクラブに通うとともにDJのキャリアをスタートさせる。

エモーショナルでミニマルなサウンドを基調とし一夜の流れを意識した安定感もありながら少しの意外性を落とし込む飽きのこないplayを得意とする。
近年はMargaret Dygas、Vera、Daniel Bell、Dorian Paic、dj masdaなど国内外からさまざまなリアルDJと言えるアーティストを招いてtroopcafeで最も永きに渡り開催されるhouse & techno party『Bush』のレジデントDJを勤めるまでに成長した。
ルーマニアン・ミニマルシーンの礎を築き上げた[a:rpia:r]の中心人物Rhadooと2016年2月にtroopcafeで共演した際にDJ playを絶賛されスペインはIbizaで夏の間毎週木曜に開催されているRhadooのレギュラーparty『Rhadoo & Friends @ Ibiza Underground Club』でplayする事を許された。この経験を昇華し彼のDJはまた洗練される事だろう。
また楽曲制作においては全く同じ日に生まれた同い年DJのKensuke Fukushimaと共作した『Howl』がPrismat Recordings(Poland)より2016年９月にリリースされた。

-このミックスのコンセプトがあれば教えてください。

最初は普段DJする時によく使う曲で構成しようという事ぐらいしか考えていなかったのですが、完成して聴き返してみて頭の中に浮かんできたイメージはスペーシーな音にハマってる事もありそういう感じになったかなと。最近テレビを見ていたら大きな風船気球に小型のビデオカメラをつけて宇宙から地球とかを撮影している人がいるというのを見てその風船気球くんの状況とか心情とかってこんな感じかな？っていうイメージ。最初は不安と期待、次第に高度が上がって気分も上がってくる、そして雲の中で予測不能な天候などに遭遇、雲を抜けると眼下の景色に魅了されて気持ちよくなって、ついに宇宙に到着して感動。みたいな感じです。要は後付けですね。抽象画とか先端アートのようにそれぞれで何かイメージして気持ちよく聴いてもらえたらなと思います。そういう自由に考えたり感じられる余地を残している方が僕は聴くのも作るのも見るのも好きです。


-最近の活動を教えて下さい。

神戸のtroopcafeで開催されているBushというPartyを2、3ヶ月に1回のペースで続けています。今年はもう2回開催していてゲストにNicola KazimirとKaminakamura Mikioという流れで開催しました。次回は5月か6月あたりに開催しようとtroopcafeなどと話しているところです。あとは全く同じ日に生まれた同い年のKensuke Fukushimaと曲作りを時間が合う時にやってます。前回はデータでのリリースだったのですが次回はレコードで出せたらと、あーだこーだ言いながらやってます。
