With "Motor: Nighttime World 3" Robert Hood returns to the project he first started on Austria’s Cheap label back in 1995 and subsequently continued in 2000 on M-Plant. Fusing his trademark minimal techno into jazz inspired moods and inflections, Hood emerges from the smoke-lit shadows of a downbeat, but not beaten, Motor City metropolis. Inspired by Julien Temple’s documentary ‘Requiem For Detroit?’ Robert Hood examines the life, history and future of Detroit’s motor industry and its workforce, set against a backdrop of decay, despair, hope and re-birth.

Holland's Egbert goes heavy on the cowbell and makes the most out of the original's manifold refrains, extracting the maximum energy from the sounds therein and fusing them to a funk-fuelled groove that fans of Joris Voorn will likely appreciate. His remix builds pleasingly, utilising the original's parts in gradual fashion to reach a fever pitch.

Manchester's Indigo is an artist that was always in our sights for a Horo release when the label was created. An open minded, experimental individual that takes on different tempos constantly and masters them with his own unique style to the point that the speed of the music is unrecognisable.

'Reaching The Source' is the approach a lot of people have come to know Liam Blackburn aka Indigo for - a floating island of dream excerpts anchored by crisp percussion and Poppy Roberts vocals, a true lesson in the power of subtlety. 'Tethys' bares its teeth and writhes around with a bouncing menace that has had adventurous dancefloors enthralled. But ironically, of them all, this EP began with 'Talia' an ambient piece that you could loop to infinity, a deep valley of sumptuous sonics whirling around your ears.

With their productions having already garnered praise and support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola and Carl Cox, and following a string of impressive releases for Rawthenic Music, Inmotion Music and Bouq, Figueroa & Obando unleash their SCI+TEC debut in the form of, Riesling, a track that comes backed by an epic remix from label boss Dubfire. 

With its psycho-strings and spoken vocal, the original of Riesling creates a foreboding atmosphere, accentuated by its impressive wall-of-bass. Fresh from the release of Aire, his co-production with Oliver Huntemann, Dubfire unveils his latest work, the thirteen minute remix of Riesling. The original's strings deliver a constant feeling of suspense throughout, balanced to perfection by the underlying warm percussive sounds and strong thumping bassline. This is trademark Dubfire and judging from the early floor reactions, Riesling is set to be  the next SCI+TEC summer anthem.
