Dauw — literally ‘condensation of atmospheric moisture in the morning or evening’ — is a subtle nuance for the presence of this Belgian bred music lover with a deeply rooted passion for jazz and soul music. Not sticking to one particular style his sound can be described as minimal house music in all its deepest forms and tempo ranges. Warm melodies often go together with groovy, heavy bass lines creating a particular deep vibe that has energy enough to get the party started, to going way passed sunrise and every moment in between. Add some strong emotional flavour to his defined sense for rhythm and he’ll spark you up on a journey that makes your heart,
mind and feet wander over and over again.

This mix was recorded live before Mosley Jr (Live) at Ghent’s (BE) newest underground club, Funke.

Over The Moon is delighted to present our sophomore release, the debut release from a bright new talent on the downtempo scene.  Encounters, from Bay Area based multi-instrumentalist and producer Tyler Hovestadt, is a project that seeks to find balance between organic musicality and electronic exploration.  On 'A Path Beyond', Encounters gently evokes a sense of calm through uplifting tones and thoughtful progression, enveloping the listener in a cocoon of heart centered magic.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Tyler Hovestadt began his musical endeavor by experimenting and improvising with synthesizers as a part of garage jam sessions with his friends. After furthering his craft in sound design and arrangement, he went on to produce his own compositions and establish Encounters. Aiming to marry the digital and analog world, Encounters fuses organic, live-recorded percussion with meticulously constructed electronic soundscapes. 

ABOUT OVER THE MOON:

Over The Moon is the sister imprint of Behind The Sky Music, a record label created by established electronic producer Bluetech which is committed to releasing high quality limited edition vinyl presses of analog and modular synth music.  Formed during the pandemic lockdown, Over The Moon is a collaboration between label partners and longtime friends Evan Bartholomew (Bluetech) and Maggie Houtz (DJ Maggie). The two work closely on co-producing the weekly Twitch audiovisual show Holotropic Happy Hour as well as the various artists Matters of the Heart compilation in summer of 2021 for Behind the Sky. Maggie’s love for - and encyclopedic knowledge of - downtempo electronica is the guiding force in curating a catalog of gorgeous and emotional electronic music.   Over The Moon was born out of an inspiration to showcase more explicitly electronic, beat-driven music that sits just outside the parameters of the Berlin school ambient and analog synth-oriented releases of Behind The Sky.

Recorded in the summer of 2022, in one of the most lush and soulful (private)settings I've had the honor and pleasure of playing music at...a true Medicine Temple of Sacred Sensuality, innocent Eros, humans-like-dolphins, swimming into unity, mycelium magically rooting us into collective-intelligence, collective-evolution, collective-play...

It was exquisite to serve this space with the power of intentional M U S I C (I got to play some tracks that have been waiting to play for years):  a true Medicine Temple of Human Hearts 💎

The taste of New Earth Nectar that was dripping in this space was sweeter than sweet:  it's medicine is still working it's magik, the portal is still opening and deepening each time I listen to this mix and remember this portal...We are the Medicine 💎

New Earth Nectar Vol. 8 💎 Medicine Temple of Human Hearts

For this new chapter, Mystic Choices, Vallou has again created a beautiful piece of art by sharing his personal therapy with the world. He reaches to explain these feelings about the mysteries of life that we cannot translate with words, by using the universal language of sound frequencies and emotions in an attempt to bring us a bit closer to understanding these divine mysteries. 

This album goes deep into our minds and our hearts. It helps to process our past paths with powerful melodies and basslines that gives us the strength to reflect on the choices we make while on the journey of life, reaching a better future. 

With this release, he wants to remind you that each of our decisions is crucial for our life and for the people around you. That we have to listen to the mystic force of life, that has always been in you and will be guiding your path to your best version of yourself. 

The artwork has been specially painted for this album by the sweet Anaël Azuria. It resonates a lot with the personal path of Vallou in life, sometimes feeling alone into a vast and beautiful universe, reaching deep into himself to share his light with the world. 

You will hear in track 4, “Ce Rêve”, some beautiful Hanpan’s sounds recorded with Pascal Sudinger (aka Pantrix), with the voice of Olivia Brunet. 

And in track 5, “Laniakea”, you will again find the beautiful french words of Olivia Brunet to guide your journey, taken from a conference she has done under Tribal Garden’s dome at Spiritus Silvam Festival 2022.

Dragota - Dreaming A Dream(FREE DOWNLOAD)

Bluetech's latest single "Restless" is an auditory odyssey through the celestial expanse. The track takes the listener on a captivating journey through the boundless expanse of space, with delicate downtempo beats, analog sound effects, and melancholy female vocals that transport the listener to the outer reaches of the universe. This single also includes a fantastic remix by Erothyme, which adds an extra layer of depth and complexity, elevating the track to new heights.

The artwork for the album, created by Bluetech himself, features Laika the Cosmonaut, who serves as a reminder of the endless possibilities of space. "Spacehop Chronicles 2" is an album that invites us on a journey through the stars, an expedition of discovery and wonder. The album will be released as a series of singles, each featuring a remix from another artist and an original piece of artwork, which will be compiled for the final vinyl and full album release, providing unique perspectives from which to experience the album.

Over The Moon Music, known for its downtempo focus, is the perfect home for this release and its cosmic themes. We invite you to immerse yourself in this first single "Restless" and prepare for lift-off into Bluetech's unique universe of melodic and emotive electronic music.
