Mr Jones is back from a trip down memory lane, digging in deep to bring you musical funk for the mind, body and soul. Picking up from where we left off, we take it a step further into more ambiguous, emotionally complex territory. After all, these have been trying times, haven’t they?

We begin with the hauntingly familiar melody of ghostly lovers who meet through generations in “We’re The OGs (Original Ghosts)”, and then we traverse to “Papolino’s Journey Into Hyperconscience” - the italo soundtrack for the end of the world. For the flip side, we live a tale of separation turned into soul-inspired electronics in “Ancestral Love”, and we end with “Let’s Start Again, Shall We?” - a groovy synth conversation that swings into introspection.

TRBO’s sophomore release adds another chapter to an unfolding story of inspiration through nostalgia. We will meet again in the future.

Well who would have bloody thought it. 20 releases on Holding Hands. That is bananas to be typing that out. It’s been a hell of a ride and I am over the moon to be able to confidently sit here and say that I still absolutely love every single release that has been put out since the first back in 2017. What a bunch of absolute slammers!

Keeping true to form number 20 comes from a new Harry Wills alias called Brazen and it does exactly what you expect when you turn on a Holding Hands release. Bendy wendy steam rollers that land somewhere between a rail of k and downing a crate of Red Bulls.

Obviously, I am a massive fan of Harrys. I run another label (Sock It To Me) with him and his previous release on HH is one of my all time favourites. When he came to me with a new alias and some fresh tunes it was a no brainers. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

🇺🇸 Remix of Pasatiempo song of the Uruguayan band Camerata Punta del Este, included in Cafe Concert album Vol.2 (1979).

Camerata Punta del Este was an ensemble that managed to merge, with a free and avant-garde spirit, the demands of academic music and the liberties of popular music.
It merged baroque with candombe, classic music with tango and milonga, jazz with bossanova carrying on its fabulous message around the world.

In particular the song Pasatiempo, was featured with a young Ruben Rada playing candombe percussions and singing.

This Zingabeat remix is a way to honor the movement of that time, updating it with electronic and disco sounds to take it to the dancefloor.
