Presenting D’Cypher – the UK based up & coming talent makes his debut on Counterpoint Recordings, as he headlines a solo EP for the label’s 25th output and joins our core artist team.

As far as rapid rising talent stories go, D’Cypher is so far on a truly golden path. Taking time to perfect his craft before sending music out to labels really paid off, as 2019 saw him release his first ever music, followed by back-to-back solo EP’s since then. Championing a deep techy and uncompromisingly rolling production style, he now delivers his interpretation of the Counterpoint Bassline Groove.

His ‘Off The Wall’ EP is 4-track rolling goodness, providing a take into different gears of his sound, and what he will be bringing to our catalogue over coming years.

FUCK ABOUT! co-founder & label manager @nomaddrumandbass makes a fierce and exciting return to the label this month with his single "Rundfunk / Staring at the Wall".

The UK born producer now lives in Berlin and has done for the past 2 years, in that time having soaked up the culture and history of his new home city, injecting heavy influence into his style & attitude. Inspired by the city's rugged aesthetic and thriving underground scenes, such themes are depicted in this weighty two track release. The "rough-around-the-edges' aura of his current place of residence has clearly made it's mark.

The A-side, "Rundfunk" is a breakbeat-fueled roller that pays homage to the origins of techstep, which moves into a choppy switch-up on the second drop. It's counterpart ,"Staring at the Wall" takes a more modern approach. Beginning with an enticing yet atmospheric intro, it soon transitions into a varied stepper with heinous low-end & funk driven saws rolling into a heavy halfway drop-down.
