With an inscrutable focus on exploring the depth of electronic composition, the Welsh producer and songwriter Beatroots has an obvious and honed-in skill set that shines through a multitude of moods and styles. With nearly a decade of tracks marking his discography, the Beatroots sound has evolved alongside the evolving science of sound design and engineering fundamentals, making the project a veritable waypoint for the many congruent paths of electronic music. Bridging all gaps between intense and pensive compositions, Reset Remedy is an expansive, meticulous expression of minimalism and instrumental interplay; few moments in any track involve a plethora of tones, utilizing the call and response between select textures and timbres. Where one synthesizer ends, another begins with choice overlap, giving an otherwise minimalist approach a very maximalist impact. Juggling a mixture of eclectic trip-hop, drum and bass, and downtempo rhythms, the album sets itself apart from the pack through its elaborative and evolving songwriting in both steady-beat and broken-beat motifs. Shwamp is back with a new album, Heartifact. Consisting of 5 energetic and immersive tracks, it will take you on a ride at the crossroads of various genres; Exploring the psychedelic side of drum&bass and glitch, tinted with playful yet emotional melodies and sparkly sounds that will make your ears tingle.

While making this EP, Shwamp has found a community deep into the underground scene of Taiwan, full of eclectic artists and loving souls. Sharing his music explorations and learning more about the local culture and language with the support of his family and friends.

Creating art has helped him to process emotional traumas and overcome depressive phases.

Heartifact marks a renewal in Shwamp’s influences and is the first of a series of releases, each of them oriented towards different themes and paces.

- 2024 UPDATE - 
This tracks who was originally released as my contribution to the charity compilation ‘Dhawa Sunrise’ ,created by Outtallectuals collective, has taken a new life.
In the past year I was thinking to update the tune to my current musical tastes and mixing skills so that i could still be able to include it my live sets and play it for you... fast forward few months later, i was happy of the new version that i felt releasing as part of my next ep "Bouncy Tales", out on Feb 2nd on Outtallectuals.

"Presenting 'Bouncy Tales'; the new four-track EP from Halfred, centered around the artist's whimsically cheerful sound. The opening track 'Slowctopus' is a bubbly halftime banger, sounding as oddly fun as a slimy sea creature moonwalking on the ocean bed, while 'Outta The Cave Man' takes the same tone and applies it to a pre-historic cabaret kind of setting. Snowons (VIP) is a polished rendition of Halfred's first contribution to Outtallectuals in 2015, upgraded for modern clarity, while Chuggington's heavier sound comes through the collaboration with producer, Know Matter. Overall, the EP's half-time / glitch DnB aura is crafted for light moments on dancefloors while maintaining the technical bass music production firmly in tact."

This is a old tune, that i listened yesterday and thought about posting it.
There was a winter time in Portugal, and i was dealing with some depression, my wonder was that i would be in the studio making beats in this darker days, but nature didnt allowed, and was sending on beautiful day after the other, everytime waking up ahmm oohh fucks, another beautiful day, i need to go outside, enjoy nature, and it gave me  loads of energy n good vibes, that i needed. Even though actual producing tracks are kinda different vibe, i felt like posting it. Kinda a nostalgic feeling. Hope it connects to your day!
