TBX Records keeps the vibes up with a strong new release from Manchester-based duo LewRaz. For their latest offering for the label, they lead the way with two thrilling and skilfully produced cuts. Its gorgeous minimalistic popping captivating thanks to the cosmic off pads, the deep textures and the spaced vocal cuts while the fancy drums make you groove. Skippy and flowing percussions, rolling basslines and deep atmospheres are taking you deep into a beautiful warm world of underground vibes.

To complete the reference, Vales delivers a special remix version that fuses the elements in a very special way, adding his own feeling to the original with a solid forward marching arrangement that results in an organic and absolutely groovy cut.

The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. The EP encapsulates Sangiuliano’s wide spectrum of sounds ranging from the fat bass line of ‘Moon Rocks’ to the more delicate harmonies shown within the ‘Dutch Kiss’ mixes whilst ‘Ghettoblaster’ sits somewhere in between.

2020 is kicking off in a massive way here at Toolroom, as we welcome more new and exciting studio collaborations. The next release on the label comes fresh from House heavyweights ATFC and Gene Farris.

‘Spirit Of House’ is a jackin’ 90’s Chicago inspired groove. It’s an uplifting, dance floor ready track from two of House music's finest. Those unmissable vocals from the legendary Gene Farris add a stamp of old authenticity – he’s a bonafide Chicago legend, who’s contributions to the House music scene are undebatable. He’s been pushing musical boundaries for close to three decades, working with world-leading labels and artists such as Relief, Dirtybird, ViVa Music and Defected.

ATFC is a longstanding label favourite and household name in the scene. He has 3 UK top 40 hits under his belt and remixed tracks for the likes of P Diddy, Missy Elliot, Simply Red, Faithless and Dido. He’s entered Pete Tong’s Essential Mix hall of fame - and the BBC Radio 1 tastemaker himself described ATFC’s productions as ‘verging on genius’.

This collaboration is a match made in heaven. ‘Spirit Of House’ is a deeply playable, feel-good House record from two of the most established producers in the scene – and we can’t wait for more.
