Majestic Majeste

A happy day at a café spent with someone, surely a memory one would want to relive again and again.
This song was. . . very hard to work on to say the least, I know that I've wanted to make a café song for as long as I started making music, but every attempt I had done before wasn't really something I enjoyed, and the idea kind of stayed on my list but never was something I was actively trying to do anymore, then my friend sent me one song by Kamata Junko which was very bossa nova inspired, and I liked it so much that on one very impulsive thought I decided to just get into it, and try to do it again this time around with whatever newer experience I had since my last attempt, and It still didn't go very smoothly, I had to rewrite the first sketch about 5 or 6 times before I got something I liked, and then decided to make it a little bit more story telling like, and maybe relate it to some of my existing songs, and that is essentially how the idea for this song came to be.
Since I still lack experience with the genre, I do think this could've turned out a lot better, especially when it comes to humanizing the instruments, but I had a lot of fun working on it, hoping you enjoy it!

Happy new year everyone (30 days late), I'm really happy with how 2022 went for me even though it had it's negatives as well, I feel like 
I've made a ton of musical progress this year and improved my understanding of it, still got a LONG way to go but, I'm very glad for the progress. Thanks to everyone who supported me throughout the year, I will keep trying my best for all the people who enjoy my music, and in the hope that I can meet even more cool producers and musicians like I did this year!!
If I had to mention any goals for 2023 it would probably be the fact I want to release a lot more music this year, since despite spending a lot of time working on music last year I still didn't release a lot, so I would like to show off what I learned more. I also would like to be stuck up in my own things less and pay attention to others more, especially when it comes to music.
Anyway enough emotional talk for probably the entire year.
The song, it's very heavily inspired by Tsynphonia, a lot of songs I've heard from him over the months, but mainly "Spiralling out of control" (thus why the title), So the goal was to make a similar song to that but with a slightly different theme, something that would still replicate the spirally feel, and that would still sound like a fever dream, like having it go round and round, and at the same time also expressing how i feel.
I don't tell him this often but I find a lot of the things that Tsynphonia makes super inspiring, like he just has this ability to express an idea in a very unique but straight forward, and I really do admire that, so I had to at least make one song that would be heavily inspired by his works, as a sort of homage.
I had a lot of fun making this overall, this was my first time finding out the pedal is a thing you can automate on piano libraries (shameful after 3 years of music i know), but once i did find out it felt really nice, like it added a whole new layer of expression to what could be done with the song, which also makes me wish I figured it out earlier but better late than never surely.
Had a lot of fun with 0:37 onwards especially, it has a very back and forth feeling to it, and also happens to be the part of the song that I really planned out super meticulously, unlike the rest of the track that was mostly trial and error, and trying absolutely random things that shouldn't really make a lot of sense, but that ended up working anyways? But the fact it's (somewhat) random adds to the spiral feel I believe, which works out in the end.
For the cover I thought this would fit quite well (for obvious reasons (she has spirals in her eyes(she is clearly lost in thought(but not in a fire emblem kind of way))), and as my friend said, "the most astolsko image".
And I chose the theme of non stopping racing thoughts to let you all on in my twisted dark mind, my deranged vision of reality, my absolutely hidden perspective (the thoughts won't stop(please help)).
Anyway
I hope everyone enjoys this song as much as I enjoyed working on it, and I promise I will release more music this year (so I can also get the opportunity to ramble in the song description once in a while)!!!!!!!
