Bringing color and vibrancy to a rare ensemble, Shared Connection highlights humanity and genuine emotional bonds through the intertwining melodies of seven C flutes in three distinct movements. This work aims to utilize the flute's full register, from its silky and underused lowest notes to its soaring and bright upper register. Each player experiences a variety of responsibilities, carrying important lines that function only with the support of the entire ensemble. Shared Connection intends not only to bring the audience to a place of reflection and emotional sensitivity but also to remind each musician of their crucial role within the ensemble.

Brick and Mortar, a contra alto clarinet trio, showcases the contra alto clarinet's brilliance as both an accompaniment and solo instrument. The first movement begins with a rhythmically consistent theme, highlighting the power of the instrument's lower register. This is followed by a somber and intimate second movement that utilizes the contra alto clarinet's silky upper register. The third movement concludes the work with an intense rhythmic pattern that supports a melody passed among all three voices.

A three-movement piece for soprano saxophone and piano, Interests highlights the instrument’s unique timbre and capabilities. Starting with a stately, canonic first movement entitled “Mass Movement,” we hear an intertwined melody that moves throughout both parts. This is followed by an emotional second movement, “Sunset Reflections On The Window Pane,” that shifts between two main themes, and concludes with a hectic and energetic third movement, “A Philosophical Exchange.” Interests brings both performer and listener to a variety of emotional states.
