First track from upcoming EP "Black River and Other Bodies of Water". This will be available on limited edition vinyl (Dendron Records), limited edition CDr (Woodland Recordings) as well as a digital download.

The EP was recorded and mixed by Tanja V. Jessen (Distortion Girls), who also plays additional noise guitar. Additional guests are Laura Noszczyk (Solyara, AEX, ex-Machinery of Joy, ex-Yellowish) on Fender Rhode keyboards, analog synth, melodica and backing vocals, Nils-Bro Müller (ThirdWheelDrive) on pedal-steel and Josefine T. Svendstrup on backing vocals and flute.

Own Road is Simon Skjødt Jensen’s one-man project. Based in Copenhagen Skjødt Jensen’s music exists in a twilight space between American folk music, singer-songwriter and a nuanced psychedelica. Through the use of looping vocal effects, guitar, ukulele and more exotic instruments Skjødt Jensen’s compositions move effortlessly between anxiety, melodic beauty and otherworldly abandon. Own Road is music at once archaically familiar and utterly contemporary.
