Taika’s journey with psytrance began in India at an early age at local gatherings and parties in Goa, where he first connected with the raw energy of the psychedelic music scene. What started as a shared passion among close friends quickly grew into a deeper exploration of sound and its impact on the dancefloor.

Eager to explore the depths of this sonic universe, he gravitated towards the styles that resonated the most with him, from the shadowy realms of darkpsy to the earthy, organic, layered atmospheres of forest and the high-energy frequencies of hi-tech. His understanding of psychedelic music comes through in sets that are groove-driven, intense, and ritualistic, crafted to move both the mind and body.

Whether deep in an underground gathering or beneath the open sky, he thrives on building a space where music becomes a ritual, pulling people into a shared, immersive flow.

I Believe we're creating this big illusion, you know? This sort of fantasy, mirage, a vision of what reality could be like, or how we wish that reality was more like.It's a collection of shapes, it's not really a thing, but it illustrates and it kind of points the finger towards something that we would all, eventually, like to have happened on a greater scale.

Oxash is the psychedelic trance project of Akshay Ramesh, born from a life-altering encounter with psytrance in Goa in 2010. What began as a personal journey into altered states and immersive soundscapes evolved into a deep love for the global psychedelic music culture and a desire to tell his own story through music.

With a foundation in metal and years of experience playing guitar, bass, and piano, Akshay brings a musician’s precision and intensity to every set and production. Since 2019, Oxash has curated high-energy DJ sets that weave intricate narratives through driving, cutting-edge psytrance - favoring darker, forward-thinking, and hypnotic sounds designed for deep dancefloor immersion.

Now stepping forward as a producer, Oxash is channeling years of musical experience into original tracks that reflect his vision of psychedelic sound - precise, powerful, and immersive. With a focus on detailed storytelling and a dark, driving energy, his productions aim to push boundaries and offer a fresh perspective on the dancefloor.

Oxash has been actively organizing underground gatherings around the United States and has performed at FYB and DMT festivals in Texas, Evening Star Festival in New York, as well as livestreams on Twitch and numerous private gatherings.
