Music has the potential to take you to places that are seemingly more profound, more subtle and more beautiful than anything that can be expressed simply with words and language. As a teenager i remember vividly the experience of discovering the music of bands Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Explosions In The Sky and Sigur Ros. It sparked in me a desire to create my own music. The idea that I could potentially write something on my guitar that was expressing things beyond my own understanding of the world was, and still is, incredibly exciting.

Throughout the whole album writing process for ‘Yes, Sleep Well Death’ i found myself reconnecting with that initial sense of excitement i felt when first exploring writing and recording my own music as a teenager. Dive was for me the track that best expressed this, and for is is the centrepiece of the whole record.

Kowloon Records is proud to present Erased Tapes' composer/sound designer Ben Lukas Boysen's stunning rework of Tom Adam's poignant "Fade". His shimmering rework makes remarkable use of the song's swelling atmospheres and sparse minimalist instrumentation, building the song up to a riveting crescendo. Originally taken from Adam's 'Voyages By Starlight' EP, Boysen's thoughtful rework breathes new life into the moving, pastoral ballad.

Oxide Tones is a small store and label specialising in Post Rock, ambient, drone and Math Rock. The idea is simply to help people get some decent music for a decent price, in combination with helping small bands get a foot in the door. Based in Germany, Oxide Tones now also has a shipping base in Austin texas, to avoid high shipping costs for North American customers.
Oxide Tones has only been going as a label since early 2011, and the demand has been so good that within the first year, over 10 releases were made. Names such as Mooncake, Collapse Under The Empire, Tunturia and The Echelon Effect have been glad to find a helping hand at Oxide Tones, as well as other "newer" artists like Circadian Eyes, This Patch of Sky and Until Sunrise.
