They Call Me Jack is a Producer, Remixer, DJ and label owner (Fidget Records) with a growing fan-base that is now reaching all corners of the globe, from the streets of the UK to India, Australia, North America and more. His signature production and DJ style blends bass/house/tech influences with south asian and tribal vibes; a unique sound which has led to a number of his tracks being played on BBC Radio1, BBC 1Xtra and BBC Asian Network (Yasser, Nihal, Bobby Friction, Kan D Man & DJ limelight shows). 

Born and raised in eighties Birmingham, and being of Punjabi decent, They Call Me Jack grew-up listening to an eclectic mix of sounds from early deep house, bhangra and techno to the sounds of garage, trance and moombahton; this, together with his love for the dance music scene, has influenced the music he makes and plays today. “The music I make is dependent on how I feel, it’s always going to be dance music of some sort or connected somehow, but with a difference – whether I’m feeling bass music, tribal, bollywood or techno, I like to bring it all together and make people want to move”. They Call Me Jack.

Although They Call Me Jack has been experimenting with music and turntables since his early teens, it all started off with a demo being sent to the pioneer of UK House & Garage, the legendary DJ/Producer, Karl 'Tuff Enuff' Brown (Kiss FM, Ministry of Sound, 2TUFF4U Records). Karl was impressed with what he heard and commissioned They Call Me Jack to remix a track called 'Free' for the house duo Beat Rivals which featured vocals from Lifford (Artful Dodger 'Please Don't Turn Me On’). This remix was then released on the 2TUFF4U label and received a positive response from the deep house music scene.

Following on from the 2TUF4U remix, They Call Me Jack began working on his own material and in 2014 he finalised his first track 'Algoze Players’, this took the Asian-Undergound industry by storm and led to a BBC Radio 1 interview with DJ Nihal (within a few days of it being sent to him!). They Call Me Jack then decided to start his own label, Fidget Records, and released ‘Algoze Players’ as a single. The follow-up track ‘All Guns Blazing’ received a great response and was championed/played by Nihal on his BBC Radio 1 show and played during his 2014 Glastonbury DJ set... the track was also picked up by a number of other DJs including Yasser, who then became a fellow champion of his music. The following year They Call Me Jack released ‘The Indian Tiger’, which received positive reviews, followed by his first EP ‘Voodoo’ and then a remix for a French house music producer, Y.L.G. 

As for now, having just released his second EP 'Vibez Dirty’ (featuring the track ‘Indian Bae’, which was playlisted for the Bobby Friction BBC Asian Network show, reaching a mainstream audience), They Call Me Jack is now working on a number of new projects including a track called ‘808’, a remix of an eighties bhangra classic and a full-on house track with plenty of bass!
