For instalment 041 of our guest mix series we welcome Sydney based disco/funk DJ Roxy Lotz to our midst. Drawing inspirations from an array of disco and funk legends, Roxy’s unique sound and groovy song selection has found her playing at Sydney’s renowned Oxford Art Factory with the DJ collective Girls on Deck, as well as moving crowds at The Flinders Hotel, Oxford Tavern, Tokyo Sing Song, The Bank’s Newtown Festival after party and many more. Starting the year of strong, with her first headline slot at Tokyo Sing Song and gearing up to support international disco tech icon Mella Dee in late March, 2020 is looking to be full of opportunity for this up-and-coming artist.

Campbell Henderson is a Sydney-based artist, photographer, and designer, as well ascurating and directing at Sydney Art Collective. These covers are inspired by Sol Lewitt, mass spectrography, Walter Russell, and subatomic particles, and crystallisation.

Eclecticism is defined by a broad range of sources and ideas, and this series is built on a broad range of ideas applied to a very narrow premise. The artworks put eclectic’s iconography under a microscope, growing and expanding into a form akin to a bismuth crystal. Each phase represents a further magnification, clarifying and changing the initial perception as it develops, but never deviating from its original signifiers.
