Robert Hoff - Cyclotron Radiation (Vertical Spectrum Rmx)

The EP kicks off with Thirty Against One, with a heart-wrenching bassline, distorted drums and a tense atmosphere. Nørbak pays tribute to the original, carefully using the stems and getting a powerful and direct remix.

Side A continues with Vertigo, a suffocating and anxious track, rising and becoming more and more tense as the track progresses.

On side B we find False Mirages, a hypnotic, distorted and direct track for the dancefloor. Positive Centre, with a sound design mastery, remodelled the track into heavy industrial vibes.

Finally, we also deliver a digital bonus track, Metamorphosis, ending the EP in a more atmospheric and hypnotic mood, providing a safe place for you to come down.

"El Caos Reina" by Oxygeno is the new chapter of our label. This EP is made up of four raw, mental and introspective tracks where the creator tells us the story of a difficult and uncertain time.

Side A opens with "Veneno En Los Labios", an exercise with heavy drums, wrapped by a crunchy bass and a tense and nostalgic atmosphere. This track is followed by "Condenados", a more experimental, dark and anxious piece, where you can feel the terror of the situation.

On the B-side we first find "Grito Al Vacío", the most energetic track, with a strong kick and bassline, cutting percussions and a pad that appears as a desperate scream. In the last track but not least, "As De Corazones", is the hypnotic piece of the album but keeping the forcefulness of the rest.

After 12 years spent assiduously focused on curating the Token discography, showcasing artists he has nurtured and supported over this time, and incorporating the connoisseur’s knowledge and experience he has cultivated in his work as an equally deft and inventive DJ, label head Kr!z finally steps up to deliver his own debut EP for TOKEN90. Moving beyond his first steps in the collaborative composing and production of two tracks for the label’s 10 year celebration offering Momentum, Kr!z reveals the deep personal impact this amalgamation of influences has had on his creative capacity in a new solo expression.

Kr!z fuses his abiding fascination with his heroes; Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Steve Rachmad, with sonic inspiration from Token contemporaries such as Antigone, Ø [Phase] and Sigha. Four hypnotic trips, exquisite loops and sinuous contours, bolstered with time-honoured percussive grooves.

The opener is Salvation; a delicate and shimmery exploration of semitone meandering. Deflection’s incessant stabs hit on the first beat of the bar and continue to stride boldly throughout. The Detroit influences come through most prominently in Mantra, with a muted, spacey theme, while The Start of Nothing’s gradual modulation of a lead is captivating both in its loyalty to tradition and its forward-thinking musical expression.
