This year it’s a honour that we welcome two pioneers to our community, First we welcome Jeroen Search, one of techno’s most inspirational pioneers, A true intellect, someone who has been a clear notable figure since the Mid 90’s in his own majestic way. He provides us with ‘Revised Config’ a stripped back head nodder, delicate pulsing tones, high end finesse all with a masterful storyline. 5th Dimension, a mere reference to an alternative reality, a constant evolving pulse runs through this one, sharp grounding percussion with a clear everywhere and nowhere feel. Classic Search! 

Arthur Robert, someone who has set the mark over these last years with masterful releases, a true inspiration presenting the very depth of his soul with sonic language. He presents ‘Heartbreak’, A Heads down soul searcher with fine attention, distinctive melody with a clear context, set with  luring mysterious sweeping percussion. ‘Kinship’ is the second, a clear reflector on the dancefloor, High momentum progressions with crystal clear precision and rooting balance all with the sense of a destination in sight.

When we speak about techno music, Lidvall is one of the top names in the game. Based in Tbilisi, he delivered a 5 track EP, with Remixes
from Linear Phase and STNDRD.

Bilbao is the name of the intro. A subtle pad sorrounding the main loop build up tension and a misterious vibe for the adventure to come.

Crossroads as a very hypnotic pattern, that marches forward while the track develops. Pads, hats, filters are used in a unique manner.

Overdosed is based on the rhythmical section mostly. It has a tribal vibe and a mesmerizing tone. No doubt why this track is also the title for the EP.

Beez Attack has the most powerful low end section. A haymaker straight to the brain, it literally sounds like rushing away while being attacked by a swarm of bees.

Static has a very electronic and futuristic atmosphere. Is full of energy and restless. Proper mayhem for late hour sets.

Linear Phase's version of Overdosed is elegantly brighter than the original, also based in groove. A neat and classy work by the Spanish maestro.

The Remix by STNDRD for Beez Attack is pure gold. The way he uses hats and percussion is just perfect. A voyage on it's own, is the perfect track to close this wonrderful EP.

Every Always. This body’s title track thus signals the start of Finalversion3’s journey, a dive into an inner world plagued with themes of family, spirituality, and hope. With all the originals finished a week before the birth of the artist’s son, every title unveils a portion of a journey of struggle, overcoming fears, and a strong sense of interdependence.

“Todos Los Siempres”, stemming from this long standing family ethos, is an emphatic tour de force, punk from the bone, an exploration of the hardcore-continuum in the flesh, and an exo-skeleton of battering snares melding the artists influences into a defining opener.

“De tu costado” and “Vulnerables” continue by building the myth of this release, swathes of metallic textures, constantly decaying dancefloor constructions with an uncanny sense of bitter-sweet around the topics of birth, vulnerability, and growth.

“Incompatible con la vida” narrates overcoming anxieties, delivering a deeply cathartic explosion of thundering club sonics.

The final original track, “Nacida en Jueves Santo” is an infinite tug of war between hyperspeeds and a smoldering dembow pulse, with the embers of both compacted together until forming a rough diamond. In Spanish folklore, a person born on Holy Thursday is capable of lifting curses from others, and as such, capable of keeping one’s family in good health.

Peder Mannerfelt sets off with the first of our remixes, club heart attack through and through, fear is imminent, and a robotic PSA reminds us of it constantly.

Stalwart Oscar Mulero reimagines our title track in explosive fashion, delivering classic D’n’B permeations into a carefully weaved fabric, broken Reese basses and infinite Amen recombinations ensuring nosebleed.

Answer Code Request’s dubby breakbeat take on the opener is perhaps, able to highlight a sense of euphoria that is more underplayed throughout the release.

Finalversion3 - Vulnerables [GTXL001]

Oxygeno returns to his label Lost Verses with Pure Devotion, an EP that fuses hypnotic, raw, and relentless techno with a satirical and defiant critique of the Churchs values.

Side A opens with Soul Absorption, a track with a heavy low end, absorbing synths, and an atmosphere that plunges you into a deep abyss. Next comes Haunted, which takes the darkness further with a haunting, psychotic synth sequence and a heart-rending bassline that keeps you on your toes.

On the B-side, Infectious delves into shadowy territory with a modulated synth line that simulates something infectious and consuming. Finally, The Weight Of Guilt closes the EP with the heaviest and most aggressive track. Thunderous percussion and a crushing bassline capture the intensity and gravity reflected in its title.

Pure Devotion is a sonic journey designed for the dancefloor, where the body moves to the beat while the mind ponders and grapples with the ideas woven into each track.

NOTE: The artwork features two “nazarenos” from Spain’s Semana Santa, a traditional Easter procession. This has no relation to the KKK.
