Among many crazy and funny things I said (and did) this summer, one sentence glued to my mind: 

LIFE IS A WONDERFUL THING TO WASTE! 

I meant this in a sense of "how much of ourselves are we willingly suffocating to maintain the image THEY have imposed on us so that we can develop, progress and move freely?" Life's too short to maintain that image. Live your life the way you want. Your life is only yours, and if it makes you happy to "waste it", well it's yours to waste!

After five or six years I played (almost only) a deep techno set at The Swamp, Mo:Dem Festival. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

In my process of overthinking I labeled my style of (writing and) DJ-ing as BRICOLAGE /ˌbrɪkəˈlɑːʒ/. In the arts, bricolage (French for DIY or do-it-yourself) is "the construction or creation of a work from a diverse range of things that happen to be available, or a work constructed using mixed media." This definition fully and realistically corresponds to what I'm creating, whether it is a text or a DJ set. This definition also fits my punk philosophy and aesthetics.

I'm thrilled to share this tribute DJ set in honor of the Chilean artist Niukid, which I had the pleasure of performing at the Spiritus Silvam Festival. As a huge fan of his music, I wanted to pay homage to him with this set here in France.

A big shoutout to the Tribal Garden for giving me the opportunity to play on their Chill Out stage during the afterparty, and to the entire Spiritus Silvam crew for their warm invitation and hospitality. Our cozy Island, nestled deep in a valley, surrounded by river and waterfalls and covered by green grass is hosting The Swamp stage. Hottest and most memorable part of the festival's location is home to Dark Progressive, Psy Bass, Dub, Breaks, Techno, Glitch and other various styles of music. With PSYCHEDELIC as only common denominator and DANCE as the main philosophy behind it.

When we started building Mo:Dem accordingly to our vision of festival with three musical stages, the role of The Swamp was a crucial one. Basic idea was to generate counterbalance to the faster and heavier musical styles presented at The Hive. Creating 'alternative stage' wasn’t our intention. Rather we imagined The Swamp as the extension of same psychedelic dance experience. Possibility to select between artists coming from a wide spectrum of psychedelic music gave us an opportunity to succeed in our plan. As Swamp literally and figuratively means diversity and variety, this was set as the main guideline for this stage in the future.

We are happy that we can share with you some sounds from 2017. edition. This time we are presenting you Breger.

This one was captured at Meditation Garden party in Belgium by Boom Shankar Prod. Lush party with darkprog killer lineup: Kromagon, FishEye and Mara. I played the first set of the party and started somehow smoothly.
