Passionate about psychedelic house and extravagant Italo disco, Massimiliano Pagliara is a man of refined taste when it comes to dance music. Trained in contemporary choreography in Milan, he later moved to Berlin, where his exploration of underground clubs gradually made him a key figure in the scene. His eclectic and atmospheric style shines both on the dancefloor and in his productions, whether solo or in collaboration (The Rimshooters with Rotciv, Banana Moon with Luigi Di Venere, Couple Looking with Chris Cruse, and Couple Looking For Bananas a 3-way with Chris and Luigi). Resident of Panorama Bar, he has just released a new album on his own label together with his friend Gian, under their alias Hidden Frequencies. At the same time, he is preparing a retrospective compilation to celebrate his 20-year career, scheduled for next year, along with new releases on Funnuvojere Records.

I had the honour of being booked to perform the Festival Closing Set @ Timeless 2025. Not only that but I had the privilege of playing on the Bassix Soundystem which is by far my favorite sound system in Canada!

It was a wild set full of smiling dancing people. The combo of silly, funky and badass was enthusiastically embraced by the crowd. We built an epic closing together!

Mega Big Up to Musik Me Luv, Bassix Crew, and of course to FESTOCHE BAMBOCHE !! I am in awe of all the hard work y'all put in to give this gift of a festival to our crazy electronic music community!

Special shout out to Wally & Phillip for filming my set! And to Lockout for the drone footage! The official video of my set will be launched in November!  

Special shout out to Yander & Pierre-Luc for stage managing and for letting me play an encore since the crowd was yelling for more!

Before I began my set I made a quick speech dedicating this set to the memories of Jonas Abel & Marguerite Blanche. 

My first performance at Timeless / Good Vibes was in 2018. I had retired from the festival scene for about 10 years. I had been in a rut creatively until I discovered this new style of funky bass music. Which inspired me to send in an application to perform. But I didn't have the confidence to propose just a bass music set so I gave them a few options of styles of set I could do.

This is how I met Jonas Abel. He booked me and insisted I play a set of this new weird funky bass music I had been experimenting with but had rarely DJ'd at a gig. 

He gave me the confidence to go for it and re-invent myself. Fast forward a few years and this style has completely re-vitalized my career! So cheers Jonas for being so supportive and recognizing how amazing this style of music is.

I warned him that putting me on the Main Stage after 10 hours of Psy Trance would clear the dancefloor and kill the vibe. He said that's fine, you will build a new vibe. 

But this wasn't exactly the kind of reaction I was dreaming of for my triumphant return to the festival scene after a ten year hiatus!

So sure enough 5 minutes into my set my nightmare came true and I cleared the entire dance floor except for one person : a young woman with a unique sense of style and unique dance moves who danced the entire set.

We had a private party just the two of us for at least 20 minutes before more people joined. By the end of the set we had a rocking dance floor thanks to her enthusiasm.

That's how I met Marguerite Blanche. In my most disappointed moment when I had cleared the entire dance floor she was my lifeline. We locked eyes and had a blast just the two of us.

So I dedicate this set to the memories of JONAS & MARGUERITE ! You were taken from us way too young. I'm grateful for how you touched my life when I really needed encouragement. 

You played a key role in my evolution from clearing dancefloors with my weird Bass Music to playing the closing set to the entire festival. Thank you. You are deeply missed by the community.
