In my work, I explore the transmission of music, particularly folk traditions. This is why I aim to delve into a specific realm of atmosphere and pan-mediterranean structure. In doing so, I seek to both counterbalance and transgress dominant occidental tuning systems, moving away from rigid tonal frameworks toward a more modal approach, freer, more organic, and rooted in alternative systems of resonance and listening.

An excerpt taken from an improvised live sound meditation at Essentis in Berlin on Jan. 01 2016. Based on the resonance of the Synodic Moon, the frequency is 210.42Hz. To further portray the cosmic alignment, pitch and time are connected. The corresponding tempo is 98.6 beats per minute... all rhythmic elements therein adhere to this relationship.

Corresponding to the guidance of the Cosmic Octave, this frequency stimulates sexual energy, supports general and erotic communication. The color spectrum is orange and represents Svadisthana - the second or navel chakra.

Utilizes the octave transpositions of Jupiter’s sideric movement around the sun. It takes the biggest planet of our solar system approximately 4332.588 days to return to the same point in its orbit(1).

The fundamental frequency matching Jupiter’s rotation period in its 36th octave equals the root note of F# at 183.58Hz. All other time based parameters, such as tempo (86.05BPM), delay and reverb computations are also derived also from octaves of this astronomical frequency.
