Breakin' Steel is a Nashville regional cover band established Nov. 2021, doing Classic Rock & Country with Pedal Steel, Modern Country, and some Rock & Popular songs

Co-Founder Martee "RockinRule" Rule

Bass, Lead & Backing Vocals, Sound and Promotions/Booking

Started musical journey in Steamboat Springs, CO; 5th grade singing in Ms. Mahaffey's class, and in 6th grade started Tuba, adding Electric Bass Guitar in 8th Grade, with first performance of "RubberBand Man" with the High School Show Choir! Performed in Marching Band, Jazz Band and Show Choir through High School. In many bands and worship teams through the years; he does it all for the love of the music-"It's the language of the soul, reaches all hearts!"

Influences from worship to Classic Rock & Country, Modern Country, 80's Hair Bands, Metal, Popular songs, Reggae, R&B and Jazz, Classical

Steel Pedal Guitar

Hailing from Chattanooga, now in Murfreesboro, Rick was inspired by his musical father who was a Worship Leader with great singing and guitar skills. He expanded his father's legacy with hard work and dedication, especially developing Steel Pedal chops, hence the Breakin Steel band name! He loves bending those strings, making the instruments sing like choirs of angels, and rockin the distorted swampy sound so beloved in the South! His knowledge is deep, connecting the personailities of the multitude of guitarists to their sound, producing a unique personal connection to the music! His sound and abilities are the icing on the cake of our super entertaining musical experience.

Rhonda Greer

Lead Soprano Vocals, Backing Vocals, Acoustic & Electric Guitar, Mandolin, Keys, Violin

A Musical Scholar from Houston TX but lived in Jackson, TN- was in Houston Symphony Choirs, an acapella Madrigal Group called Cantus, Jackson theater Guild, Jackson Chorale society, local bands and church choirs. She has the vibrant personality, musicality, and energy to front our diverse offering, with influences from Classical all the way to Modern Rock & Country. Her infectious smile, laugh, and stage presence draw listeners in, wanting to hear and see more as the show progresses! Like all of the members, the goal is to keep uplifting audiences and sharing her love of music for life!

Joe Dotson 

Drums, Percussion, Backing Vocals

Joe Dotson is a Middle Tennessee native, playing drums since Middle School band.  He brings the steady rhythm in every genre and style due to his extensive experience playing with original and cover bands for forty years.
His connections and relationships with venue owners and many friends have been vital to greatly increase the bookings in the north part of Middle Tennessee and continue growing the following.  He also contributed the lighting and his wife Lori is a great help with merchandise and taking photos and videos.
