Red Light Records Show on Red Light Radio 16/01/20

We heard about Robert Yang when he was, just like us, part of this huge communauty of geeks, record diggers, music connoisseurs and gear freaks producers on The Cybernetic Broadcasting System forum (the webradio of I-F) where he was going by the name of Robot Hustle. He is one of the original members of Honey Soundsystem and has released various records on Josh Cheon's "Dark Entries"""  and Honey Soundsystem's flagship label as well as some oothers on "Public Release" or Fort Romeau's "Cin Cin". Over the course of the last few years he has been perfecting a live music performance of the better taste. A multi-instrumentalist, Robert was trained in saxophone starting at age 10, before moving onto a Fender Telecaster after high school. After being exposed to Southern California rave culture in the late 90s, he moved onto DJing and collecting records. By the time he planted his roots in San Francisco in 2005, Robert had built an impressive analog synth-based studio, which also serves as the creative hub for his riveting live performances.

Welcome back to another beautiful mess of aural delights. At this stage, we should be inside our own homes and never changing out of our pajamas’. You should know by now that you’re in control of your own environment and you should be exercising that control in the form of what you’re listening to, which is something I can hopefully help you with. 

That help comes via Uruguay from Vince, in the form a piece of beautifully orchestrated chaos, A tightly wound bundle of pure joy, I’m still in awe of the depth that this mix travels in such a short amount of time.  A tip of the hat in every direction. A really nice way to wake up in the morning, a soundtrack from the first sip of coffee into the first attempt at ‘work’. Reeks of autumn/spring, enjoying your own backyard, little bit of sun shining through, Sunday arvo type shit. 

I don’t know much about Vince, he runs Borde records and he makes some pretty damn nice forward-thinking music, another great result of people reaching out with something to offer. 

 I'm very happy that this series has made it around the world and inspired at least a few of you. During this crazy-ass time I’m going to out as many mixes out at possible so stay tuned, or not.
