Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

It was high time we were leaving. The city looked different in the early morning light. The last thing we talked about, as we stood there waiting for the train to pull out, was love and dreams. The three of us were strange humans. We came from different places, each of us, but we had something in common – a whole lot, I might say. We were getting sentimental, as strange humans do when it comes time to part. We were getting quite foolish about the cows and sheep and the big open spaces where men are men and all that crap. If a boat had swung along instead of the train we'd have hopped aboard and said good-bye to it all. But Collins was never to see our place again, as I learned later, and Fillmore… well, Fillmore has to take his punishment too, in a way that none of us could have suspected then. It's best to keep our place just like that, always in the background, a sort of picture post card which you look at in a weak moment. Like that, you imagine it's always there waiting for you, unchanged, unspoiled, a big patriotic open space with cows and sheep and tenderhearted men ready to bugger everything in sight, man, woman or beast. Dreams and love doesn’t exist. Its only names you give to an abstract idea. Emrat lives with his dreams in a forgotten place. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can bring love to a festival of colors. BIGz and Vooz Brothers leave the ice house and turn love into dreams.

The two collaborative tracks 'Kuzco' and 'Pédia' grow from the same oriental-leaning roots: while the irresistible groove of the former snakes into your subconscious like a tropical vine, the latter's desert-wind strings and dramatic vocal of Lola Calvet then rush to ruffle its lush leafs.

Tom Nikso's laidback 'Unik', meanwhile, shimmers richly with morning dew and 'L-Za' by Dandara feels like an ode to the warming rays of sunshine, ready to give the world a kiss of life.

The DIRTYBIRD crew havent even had time to take their counsellor uniforms to the dry cleaners post-Campout, but already theyre dishing out more bulletproof slabs of future-flexed acid house.

Will Clarke mans the controls: Making his Dirtybird debut in January with "Badness" on DIRTYBIRD 10, follwing up with "The Boogie Woogie" EP and lazer-snapping "808Frenzy" on "DIRTYBIRD BBQ - Grill$ons Revenge" collection, the bristly Bristol-based spandex enthusiast has enjoyed a beautiful summer with releases on Defected, Emerald City and Turbo and unforgettable shows across the US, Australia and Europe.

Returning to the label with the bulbous two-track EP "Turn It Up," Clarke does just that: Writhing in carnal groove simplicity, he taps into the roots of timeless, low-down, butt-wriggling house music with three obscene examples of strong-armed tech funk. "Can You Funk" punches with Breach-level hookiness, and Turn It Up does the loopy-loop with Dirtybirds trademark vocal trippiness. 

Keep it turned: Will Clarke has been one of 2015s most exciting and authentic house music success stories. We can thank DIRTYBIRD for that. Stay tuned for more very soon...
