My Mate's Band play acoustic punky folky world music and you can expect an award-winning songwriter, compact, variable line-up, original songs & unique rhythms when you see them live at one of their gigs.Before he ever played a gig, Joe recorded and released a record.
Copies of which now sell for £50.
Joe received £1000 the 1st time he played guitar on stage.
In 2012, in an interview with Simon Wilson, Nottingham Post, Joe declared "I am the first singer songwriter ever to write and perform exclusively in unusual time signatures"
Six years on, Joe also fronts a band who all live, perform & record in Nottingham. Their first single world music was written and recorded in Nottingham & in 2018 they performed it live in Nottingham at Busk Off - Busking Festival in Cobden Chambers raising funds for Nottingham Arts Mental Health Projects in May, at Brian Clough Statue to celebrate 70years of the NHS in June, at The Matlock Bath Music Festival in July, at the Maze for the Stand Up to Racism gig in August, The Golden Fleece in September just before the brewery sold it.

My name is Anthony Martin, I'm a singer/songwriter from The Medway Towns.

I write songs to help me process some of the traumatic events I've experienced in my life.

Jamie R Hawkins is an Award Winning Singer Songwriter whose songs have won him critical acclaim in the UK and around the world - he has been described as "a powerful mixture of storyteller, philosopher and poet", his lyrics as "poignant and witty" and his performances, "emotive and captivating”.

His song 'Bloody Good Xmas' won the acoustic/folk category in the 2011 UK Songwriting Contest and went on to achieve a #2 position in the Amazon download charts. He has since gone from strength to strength, forging for himself a dedicated and growing fan-base in the U.K.  With three EPs in the bag and a string of single releases, Jamie is a singer songwriter you don’t want to miss.
In March 2016 he released his second EP, ‘Capacity To Change’ to critical acclaim and embarked upon his first solo European Tour.  
2017 saw the release of his third EP, ’The Bitter End’ and the completion of a third European tour. His successes overseas secured him more future tour dates with his band, ‘The Unshakeables’, and a recording deal with independent Swiss label, Funk Street Records - heir debut EP, ‘Planets’, was released in November 2018 and has since received almost daily national airplay in Switzerland
With a UK full length album in the works and a string of single releases planned for 2019, it’s looking to be another great year for Jamie…
