We have the big honor to present to Alex Landrian, also known as DWELLZ, a DJ/producer/remixer/dad/businessman/party-animal/electro specialist, a truly marvelous artist that have years on the game and that has been releasing his music on record labels such as Battery Park Studio, Bass Agenda Recordings, Fundamental Bass Intelligence, Binalog Productions, Diamondback Recordings, CHP Recordings, and on his own imprint called Devine Disorder Records, founded in 2009 alongside DJ Nobody, which is a label with more than forty releases, and that has been exporting boundary-breaking beats, full of raw ghetto flavours fused with classic machine funk grooves and modern electro breakbeats. They have been working with great artists such as Danny Electro(+), Dark Verktor, DJ R21, Pip Williams, Robodrum, Mike Ash, Synth Alien, Inhuman Designed, Rawtary, Dexterous Numerics, to name a few.

Today DWELLZ brings the slam with his new exclusive session, where he delves into robot funk atmospheres and 90s naughty breaks, a fearless and vanguardistic approach that has put a smile on our faces.

Shaun Spencer aka @Acell started Djing in 1991. His mixes are always intended to be journeyesk  and creating different sonic soundscapes from the mixing of tracks  .   Heavily influenced by the Detroit Techno and British Techno music at the time he got his first major gig playing at The Wax Club for Heart and Soul in  1992 along side Eddie Richards , Mr C , Terry Francis , Nathan Coles , Richard Grey and ADJ , where he became a regular Dj and going on to play in clubs such as The Dungeons , Sides  and The Temple of Sound in Dublin , The SW1 Club London , Glastonbury  ,  Lost with Plaid and support Dj on  their Not For Threes Album  Ireland tour   and many underground indoor and out door events . In 2011 Andy Jaggers  and Shaun Spencer founded The Dodo Club an Electro/Electronica Night  . Last year he was a regular Dj for The Planet Pluto Crew Cornwall and Devon Festivals . November last year Acell Headlined  along side Wata Igarashi and the Heartheart Records Crew in Adelaide Australia . Recently Acell and Hashira had a track M Brane on The Carebots Compilation on Bass Agenda Records and due to Covid and gig cancellations this year has been a regular on Hybrids live streaming events . He is currently working on an EP to follow up on his +One Album The Bare Necessities (Defocus Records ) for Gated Recordings and a all vinyl chilled  podcast coming out on New Years Day 2021 for them .

DECENNIUM13 - Bass Junkie (Kronos Device, Battle Trax)

For the 13th edition of our DECENNIUM series we bring you Battle Trax founder; Phil Klein aka Bass Junkie.

Forming one half of the legendary Kronos Device, along with fellow stalwart The Dexorcist, Phil has been releasing the purest forms of Electro since 1996 and has gained royal stature amongst the Electro and Machine Funk elite. 

A local legend in London, Phil founded his label Battle Trax in 1996. Around this time Phil was heavily involved in the Electro scene and was releasing under his Bass Junkie pseudonym on reputable labels such as Parallax Records and DMX Krew's Breakin' Records. Since then up until now, he has consistently released quality, hard and aggressive electronics on the likes of Touchin' Bass, Bass Agenda and Electrix.Teaming up with The Dexorcist, the pair began releasing as Kronos Device on Battle Trax in 2001.

It is an honour to have such a legend in the scene feature on our DECENNIUM series and we hope you enjoy this savage mix, featuring plenty of his own material, and recorded exclusively for Natural Selection.
