It’s called The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism., but is simply referred to as THE BOOK by the revolutionary group The Brotherhood, that has Goldstein as it’s leader. We begin today’s program as Winston is reading this book at their inner city hideaway apartment.

Both Julia and Winston were taken down to a secret government interrogation torture center. Winston can see horror all around him but he is resolved that he will somehow survive this. And if not him, the next person like him will succeed. Winston has just learned about ROOM 101. The most feared room in the world.

A world of trampling and being trampled upon. A world that will become not less but MORE merciless as it refines itself. The old civilizations claim that they were founded on Love and Justice. Ours is founded upon hatred. In our world there will be no emotions except fear and rage triumph. Everything else we will destroy. Everything. We have cut the links between child and parent and men and women. " 

We now join Winston and O’Brien for the final battle of wills.

We haven’t heard from Julia since she was arrested. O’Brien is currently making one of his biggest appeals to Winston to understand the world Big Brother’s Way..
