Calvin Harris - Summer (Filous & Kitty Gorgi Cover)

The track “Smokin’ Love” opens with swirling piano chords, catchy lyrics highlighting the band’s signature dub sound. The track details multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer Scott Woodruff’s upbeat narrative of wanting to smoke with the one he loves, highlighted in the lyrics:

“I wanna get high, I wanna get low, come on I wanna smoke little spliff with you / Lord knows I’m not a fool, I’m just crazy for you.”

“Smokin’ Love” was recorded the same way as all their songs; in Woodruff’s home studio with each instrument individually recorded and layered in unison to one other. The band has previewed the track through their social media sites and have recently started playing it live.

Durante uma expedição ao Peru, cientistas encontraram uma misteriosa cápsula metálica sob as areias do deserto. A cápsula estava hermeticamente fechada. No seu exterior, apenas uma inscrição: 2299 Ad. Depois de análises em laboratório, perceberam que a cápsula emitia certos pulsos eletromagnéticos binários quando exposta ao sol. Os pulsos foram então convertidos e revelaram uma mensagem enviada por uma espécie de vida inteligente baseada em silicio, fruto da simbiose homem-máquina e que provavelmente tornou-se dominante num futuro próximo. During an expedition to Peru, scientists discovered a mysterious metallic capsule under the desert sands. The capsule was hermetically closed. On the inside, just an inscription: 2299 Ad. After some analysis, the scientists realized that the capsule emited some binary electromagnetic pulses when exposed to the sun. The pulses were then converted and revealed a message sent by a specie of silicon-based intelligent life, the breed of the symbiosis between man &amp; machine and that probably turned into the dominant specie on a close future. Now, the content of this capsule is being revealed.

The No. 018 on Plötzlich Musik is the Fieps EP by Neal White and is showing a further side of Plötzlich Musik label and Plötzlich am Meer festival. We put some artists together on this
EP which we like due to their unique and special sound.


Neal White comes from Hamburg in the north of Germany and is known for phenomenal
Live-Sets at festivals like Garbicz and Fusion and many more. We wanted to get this vibes on an EP and here it is. For his EP we chose the layed back and groovy songs, with a great storyline. Dynamic hi-hats meets a groovy baseline, which make you want move straight
away.


Robert Galic and Tim Brüggemann are deeply rooted in Funk & Soul, Jazz and Afro Beat, in general the whole topic of Black Music played an important role in their musical imprint. We wanted to have this influences on this EP and they add a really great vibe to this release. Also the elements of the original are well used and telling a groovy and straight story.

The originals have some quite dubby elements. In order to underline this we wanted to have a dub remix for this EP. We asked an artist we have followed for quite a while; Dub Resort. He added a straight dub version with a lot of energy, which works really great on the floor.

The artwork is done by Robin Kowalewsky. A symbiosis of audio and visual art out now on Plötzlich Musik.
