The mystical and magical art of cosmic DJing has found her living in Berlin for the last few years playing her immaculately mixed blend of genre-less groove music to marathon dancers well into the afternoon. "I recorded this set on a Friday night at Kasheme. I got to play for the first time in our newest lounge, the Gallery. From the beginning I knew what direction I was going to play, as quiet as possible - Kasheme style. In the end I entered the venue with 4 big record cases and played for over 8 hours.  I am very happy to contribute this set to my friends from Ojoo Music Ghent for their fruit series. I hope that this set will bring peace to the listener during this times....- Soulmate

SobaStream #4 ~ Louison's Space Hunt

you may know her as "Nifa", or even maybe "The Queen Of Myosotis", but today she rises as Nixe ( @nixe666 ), and delivers the third volume of the slightly damaged series.

This nostalgic, hypnotic mix, oscillating between darkness and light, reveals Nixe's feelings about an era she never knew.

She discovered music through her parents' jukebox, filled with 70s and 80s punk, rock and blues. For a while, she evolved in this bubble, almost cut off from the rest of the musical world.

But as she became emancipated, Nixe soon discovered electronic music, although evocative of the 70s and 80s, with its distinctive rhythm boxes and synthesizers, that left its mark on the era, but was hated by her parents.

Yet it was Dark Disco, Synth Wave and Synth Pop, with their sometimes pungent, often entrancing asperities - that the podcasts greatly explores - which most awakens in Nixe a feeling of nostalgia for an unknown era, this "Nostalgia Elettronica".

Soft rock, 80’s; and an overall red thread of gritty funk that digs deep down under. I finally get to play some Dire Straits in a DJ mix… Incredible pleasure recording this <3

Yela’s upbringing in England exposed him to a rich and vibrant music scene, igniting his passion for electronic music. His tireless digging through vinyl collections in search of abstract and unique tracks has allowed him to curate intriguing sets, in which he is known to explore the interconnectivity between a variety of different genres, tying his selections with elements of a tribalism, intricate percussion and a touch of cinematic flair. Six years ago, Yela returned to his hometown, Antwerp in Belgium where he recently co-founded the musical passion project Oridoo together with Hofmann. Over its first editions Oridoo has featured some promising upcoming local & international DJ’s behind the turntables and aims to deliver authentic electronic musical experiences from the heart.
