Just over a year since its launch, Guy Gerber's RUMORS imprint continues to blend the world of music and art with a series of highly sought after releases and events. Following on from Guy & Puff Daddy’s remix EP of their stand out album track; ’Tourist Trap’, RUMORS welcomes Seth Troxler to the label with his debut, 'Evangelion'.

Scheduled for release on March 30th, 'Evangelion' follows Troxler's recent collaboration with Phil Moffa for their 'Rogue Music' EP, and also features a remix from Matt Jonson & Jesse Heartthrob - marking the label's sixth offering.

Delivering Seth's inimitable blueprint of boundary pushing techno, ‘Evangelion' leads with a hypnotic bassline that's topped with eerie bouts of spoken word and haunting piano keys - whilst Jonson & Siminski's remix softens the warped construction to provide a welcome dose of funk-induced techno.

With a shared passion for promoting authentic dance music - Seth and Guy have always been solid ambassadors for underground sounds that consistently change the musical landscape. 'Evangelion' finds a natural home in RUMORS and paves the way for another hugely successful year for the two innovators.

The next instalment on Afterlife comes from Vaal with remixes by Locked Groove and Baikal. ’Wander To Hell’ is a three track EP, with three versions of the same track that each encapsulate the spirit of Afterlife in their own individual way.

Heralding from a rock n’roll and jazz background Vaal is unperturbed by the strict rules that define & guard electronic music. ‘Wander To Hell’ is stripped back and gentle, highlighting the emotive side of the label. The combination of alluring vocals and beautiful reverberating chords along with the ebb and flow of distortion makes it a composition that grips the listener from start to finish.
Belgian talent Locked Groove seeks the dancefloor with his remix. He brings back a little familiarity, the vocal remains, but is now present amongst an assortment of synths and percussion, pushing through to darker, heavier depths.
Baikal makes multi layered electronic music simultaneously for the heart, mind and feet. His version of ‘Wander To Hell’ is truly spellbinding, featuring a hypnotic groove that glides seamlessly through a continuum of time and space.

Intec is known to many a fan of House and Techno as a scene leading label set up by the iconic Carl Cox who has been at the forefront of DJ culture since the early 90’s.

With a roster of artists including the label boss himself plus Nicole Moudaber, Jon Rundell, Marco Bailey, Carlo Lio, Cristian Varela and Dosem amongst many others of a similar calibre.

Intec welcomes back Irish born Ian O'Donovan who has featured music on labels including Drumcode, Bedrock, Connaisseur, Tronic, KMS and Planet E. Making his second release on the label, Ian who is known for his inventive and individual production style presents four original tracks on this solo release.

First up is the tribal groove of “Seeker” which fuses fast flowing percussion with a rolling bass line to create in infectious groove. Already full of energy, the frantic lead synth helps create a sense of urgency that’s instantly captivating and perfect for the dancefloor. Peak time Techno at its best this track should also appeal to fans of House who are looking for something with a little extra bite.

The second track titled "Curium" is led by the pulsating bass line and busy clap rhythm that intertwine with the rattling congas and rising chords. Get ready to put your head down and punch the air with excitement, as this potent slice of Techno will have you out of your seat and dancing round the room.

Third on the release is the deep pads and pitched toms of “99” that despite being the most laid back track on the release still packs a punch. Simple in structure, it’s a fine example of less being more, and the dramatic melody which builds into a held chord adds an extra layer of tension. Master crafted with just a touch of chic, this is Techno at its most classy.

Finishing off the release title track called “Tomahawk”. Arguably saving the best till last, its muffled chords contrast gritty textures with the overlaying glide of the lead synth. Getting more complex as it develops, the tracks epic structure has a slightly cosmic vibe, soon brought back to earth by the hard hitting and heavy percussion, which combined can only be described as peak time Techno with an emotional edge.

Ben Rau returns with the second release on his Inkal imprint February 15th, featuring two new original tracks from the German artist.
Berlin’s Ben Rau has become a prominent name in groove-laden house music over the years as resident and artist with London’s inimitable Fuse events and record label, as well as releases on label such as JusGrooveIt and Body Parts. November 2016 saw Ben inaugurate his very own Inkal imprint though, which climbed to the top of the Deejay.de vinyl sales chart hitting number 1 and perfectly setting the tone for the imprint.
This February will see Ben back on form with the second release for the label and opening things up is title track ‘Work Hard’, a smooth slice of driving house fuelled by snaking bass grooves, low- slung bumpy percussion and vacillating vocal swells, whilst chugging acid licks and the introduction of additional vocal lines gradually creep into the composition.
On the flip is ‘Ouisky’, another raw, stripped-back addition employing thunderous sub bass surges, heavily swung percussive shuffles and an amalgamation of bright chord stabs layered into a head nodding, infectious and dynamic sequence throughout.

Since his massive ‘Works On Sunday EP’ from the middle of 2016 Archie’s star has risen considerably, peaking with his inclusion at no.70 on RA’s end of year DJ Poll. Here he steps up for EP duties once more on his spiritual home of Fuse London; ‘Driven to Distraction’ kicks things off with a bubbling acidic groover while ‘Telegram’ also harnesses the power of the 303 albeit in a more trippier form. ‘Channelled’ rounds things off with an elegantly floated groove, it’s melodic elements and aquatic kick heralding the shift in seasons beautifully.

hailing from lisbon, portugal, syntagma developed some thoughts regarding society, politics, globalization and the impact of economics in the human experience. they gathered some spoken word by several intellectuals such as john cage, alan moore, terence mckenna and eduardo galeano. even though this ep rides along something like mindful soundscapes, deep minimal techno and trippy deep house, syntagma hopes that the listener will think about subjects that are not a common focus of modern dance music -- hence offering a deeper side to the genre. you also get a mesmerizing remix courtesy of doubtingthomas, who hails from london, uk, but was born in france. so go on, let it all sink in, and flow with the groove.
